Synthesis of spirocyclopropane-1,3’-indolines through cycloaddition of the functionalized pyridinium salts with 3-phenacyldeneoxindole reactions. Spirocyclopropane-1,3’-indolines are important functional moieties and building blocks in pharmaceutical which act as anti-HIV drug. 3- substituted spirooxindoles have attracted much attention due to their interesting anticancer, antiviral, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and anti-HIV active.
