WORK EXPERIENCE
●Mercer Engineering Research Center (May 2018- Current): Provide engineering support for various contracts to meet customer requirements. Tasked with creating complicated CAD and finite element models and using them to perform finite element analyses. Created code to access, manipulate, and utilize data from databases, as well as, automate updates to mesh models. Collaborated on reports to meet customer demand.
●Salt Water Desalination Research Project (Summer 2017): Researched current technologies and methods for desalination. Then designed and constructed a system to desalinate salty and brackish water for human consumption.
●New Media Development Lab Help Desk Assistant (August 2015 – May 2018) - Macon, Georgia: Main role was to assist students in creating digital stories using audacity and IMovie. Additionally, helped with all computer related needs in the lab.
Projects:
●Glass to Sand Recycling (Fall 2018-Spring 2019): Researched means of processing glass using various crushing and sifting mechanisms to crushed and separate glass into sand mixtures. The sand mixtures were then used in varying proportions to be tested as an aggregate replacement in concrete.
●Bottle Opener Fixture (Spring 2017): Designed a bottle opener to meet specific criteria. Then designed and created a fixture using machining skills to produce the designed bottle openers.
●Programming Robotics Project (Spring 2016): Assembled and programmed a robot to perform various tasks. These tasks included autonomously following a white line and navigating a maze blind (relying on sensors alone).
