DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Qualify and certify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Welder
Performance Qualification (WPQ) as per different American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American
Welding Society (AWS) codes.
- Witness various inspection points for welding as per ITP.
- Qualify welders and procedures in the use of arc welding e.g. GTAW, SMAW using ASME Sec-9 and AWS D1.1
- Review of WPS, ITP and various sub contractors’ work procedures as per International and company standards and
specification.
- Responsible for total non destructive testing. Review and monitor NDT & PWHT requirements based on fluid
category and piping class.
- Visual inspection of BEVEL weld joints as per standards ASME Sec V - Lamination Checking for Plates
- Review of weld log sheets to release spools for painting and erection.
- Review of test packages and release the lines for hydro test.
- Witness and approve pressure test and loop packages prior to mechanical completion.
- Initiate punch listing prior to chemical cleaning/hydro testing of stainless pipelines. Conduct punch listing prior to
flushing/hydro testing of pipelines.
- Review of radiographs, Witnessing of non-destructive testing.
- Coordinate QC team NDT / PMI Technician and ensure that QC personnel are fully aware of the Project Quality Plan.
- Reviewing of Sub-contractor Quality Project Documentations (Drawings, Specification, Procedures, Codes) and
Material Submittal.
- Day to Day planning and co-ordination of QA/QC activities.
- Fully conversant with ISO 9001 QMS as it relates to large project execution and Quality Audit.

-Updating equipment daily installation/alignment status and preparing daily progress report for weekly and monthly
progress meeting.
-Attending weekly log book entry and NCR meeting with client and field engineering.
-Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints, to determine inspection
and test procedures.
-Cleans and maintains test equipment and instruments to ensure proper functioning.
-Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications, and adjusts process or
assembly equipment to meet standards.
-Visually inspect the outside and inside surfaces of tubular pipe, inspects pipe ends (bevels and lands), makes all
appropriate dimensional measures of the pipe (diameter, wall thickness, ovality, straightness, etc.
-Visually Inspect & measure the depth and alignment of trenches and examining the trenches for stones or debris
that may damage the Tubular Pipes.
-Collect data and information on the surrounding area for possible corrosion factors of the Tubular Piping and its
components.
-Picturize the photo and record as documentation of the system and any repairs or assessments of Tubular Pipes.
