Position: Senior Officer Chemical

Period: 2 Nov. 2011 to till date.

Erection and Commissioning:-

Anchoring on sight erection and commissioning activities ensuring completion of project with in the time and cost parameter and effective resource utilization and maximize the output.

Installation and commissioning heavy equipments as well as conducting test and inspection to ensure operational of plant .10m3 /hour (CO-current) deminiralizing plant, with UF,SAC,De-gasser,SBA & MB unit. Chlorination plant for raw water cooling water holding capacity 1400 m3 and cooling tower holding capacity140 m3.

Operation and maintenance & job Responsibilities:-

Executing cost saving techniques/measures and modification to achieve substantial reduction in O&M expenditures during the raw water treatment, soft water production,DM water production, cooling water treatment, boiler water treatment and work within the budget.

Calculation of chemical dosing for Enhancement of power plant water chemistry and cost saving.

Calculation of efficiency evaluation of power plant, like boiler efficiency evaluation of power plant, like boiler efficiency by direct and indirect method,GCV,NCV,UHV,blow down %,make-up water, condensate return in boiler. Evaporation loss, bleed off, drift loss,LSI,RSI,PI,effectiveness,range,approach,approach,capacity in cooling tower,

Coordinating with the chemist, supervisors, operators & workers along with respective departments about change or modification for enhancing plant generation.

Planning and effecting predictive & preventive maintenance schedules for various machineries and equipment reliability.

Filling of daily machine status reports and monitoring the project statues as well as preparing the plant operation report.

Identifying areas of quality failures and taking steps to rectify the system wide preventive and corrective actions to avoid the reoccurrences.

Proactively identify areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools.

Coordinating material/spare parts planning related activities encompassing identification of vendors, requirement specification & offer evaluation.

Laboratory step i.e. jar test equipment, PH meter, conductivity-TDS meter, distillation unit, turbidity meter, dissolved oxygen meter, spectra photometer, flame photometer meter, weighing balance, disiccators,,bomb calorimeter, hot air oven crusher machine for coal.

Daily, monthly and annual reporting regarding coal quality, water quality, chemicalstock and its inventory.

Preparation of management information reports in daily,monthly and annual basis.

Daily defect reporting, safe isolation, handing over, lining up and taking equipment/systems back in service Maintaining various records and reports of unit.

Raising indent for chemical, equipment & spare parts procurement.

Manpower planning and scheduling of work.

Operation and maintenance job responsibilities:-

I have complete operation and maintenance 12 m3/hour (CO-current) deminralising unit with MGF, ACF,RO (10 m3),SAC,SBA,MB,unit and cooling tower holding capacity 1800 m3 .

I have complete treatment of raw water,cooling water, waste water,feed water and boiler water .

As per standard method complete sampling and analysis of raw water-cooling water, waste water, boiler water, feed water.

As per standard method preparation method testing reagents for analyzing water sample.

Complete sampling of fuel ( Coal as per standard IS 436) and analysis as per IS 1350 part I and II

Proximate analysis total moisture, inherent moisture,volatile mater as, ASH, fix carbon,GCV (ADB,ARB)

Complete proximate analysis of coal.

Physical analysis of coal magnetic %, sieve analysis, bulk density.

Refractory (Bed material analysis) & Bulk density, sieve, magnetic %, Ignition temperature, fusion temperature, composition of Alumina and Silica.
