PROJECTS
• Major Projects:
(1) Study of flow characteristics of savonious hydrokinetic turbine. The CFD study was conducted for Ducted turbine with different duct designs. The Torque and Power outputs along with flow characteristics such as pressure and velocity of ducted turbine were comapared with non-ducted savonious turbine.
(2) Study of Vibrating Flange on Flow Characteristics of Diffuser Augmented Wind Turbine. The CFD study was conducted for DAWT and studied the effect on power coefficient by changing the frequency of the vibrating flange by writing a UDF. Also flow structures were observed for all the cases including the effect of changing the position of the flange.
• Minor Projects:
(1) Design and Fabrication of water tunnel. The CAD designs were made for water tunnel experimental setup in fluid dynamics lab and was fabricated along with the group of students.
(2) Conjugate heat transfer analysis on a graphics card (CFD).
(3)Conjugate heat transfer analysis on a vehicle exhaust port (CFD).
(4)Flow around a Ahmed body (CFD).
(5) Flow analysis of Rayleigh Taylor Instability (CFD).
