Projects Undertaken
Title: Case study on resistance of wire with statistical quality control Duration: “August 2018” to “November 2018” (5th Semester) Objective: This is a case study on resistance of copper wire after the processing of bunching machine. Outcome: process capability, tolerance intervals for various factors and operating characteristic (OC) curve is plotted
Tools Used: Minitab Software
Title: Analysis of mechanical properties of mold sand by variation in binders and additives Duration: “August 2018” to “November 2018” (5th Semester) Objective: The mechanical properties to be observed for different composition of additives and binders are Shear Strength, and Permeability. The objective was to make the best casting which can be possible by varying the composition of the binders and additives and also to study the properties of sand.
Outcome: We found out the values of the Permeability and shear strength of Sand Mold by using Additives and Binders, and then we chose the one mold with best properties among them. Title: Design of magnetic vertical axis wind turbine Duration: “January2018” to “April2019” (6th Semester) Objective: The aim of this project is to design a magnetically levitated vertical axis wind turbine system that has the ability to operate in both low and high (1.5m/s to 40m/s) wind speed conditions. Outcome: Type of wind turbine- Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) with the Savonius type of rotor. Calculated the power density of wind, overall loss factor Major Project Title: Effect of tool design variation on machinability of Inconel alloy Duration: “December2019” to “April2020” (PRESENT - 8th Semester) Objective: Analysis on the Inconel alloy by using Nano fluids over the tool surface by creating dimples to study its machinability properties.
Title: Zippy - line following robot
Duration: “December 2017” to “March 2018” (4th Semester) Objective: Designed a product to show the working of autonomous vehicle with a solid-works model Industrial Internships and Interns
Intern — Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), JUNE-JULY 2019 The internship includes an IV and a project on robotics. The project is to designed and develop a density based dynamic traffic signal system. The signal timing changes automatically on sensing the traffic density at the junction. Coursework and Certifications
The 3D Printing Applications (03/2018-04/2018). This course will help you understand how 3D printing is being applied across a number of domains, including design, manufacturing, and retailing. It will also demonstrate the special capabilities of 3D printing such as customization, self-assembly, and the ability to print complex objects.
