POSITION : ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR.

Responsibilities

Working as Electrical Inspector with the following responsibilities.

Review and validate the contractor’s procurement, construction, installation and commissioning plans, procedures and construction/installation methods.

Review, monitor and report on the contractors activities in order to validate that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract.

Review the contractor’s approach/methodology to install, operate maintain and remove all temporary facilities and utility services.

Carry out a sufficient level of independent supervision of the construction, fit out and installation activities to be able to verify that it is carried out in accordance with the issued for construction (IFC) working/installation drawings, project technical specification, approved method statements, approved inspections and test plan and the local regulations.

Conduct inspection of all electrical equipment's DB, SMBD, MCC, AND CP works following the related agreed procedures.

Testing and commissioning,standalone functionality of fire alarm devices, Fire alarm graphics, Fire man override panel and integration of fire command center with central BMS station

Testing and commissioning of ELV system like Access control system, Public Address system, CCTV, Telecommunication system.

Oversee the functionality of integrated systems like HVAC, Firefighting, FM 200, Escalator

& Elevator, Public Address System and access control system with approved fire alarm cause & effect matrix.

Advice of any short coming with the contractor’s site supervision and recommend corrective action to be taken.

Review and validate hazard analysis and job safety management procedures.

Participate in the review of the completed works, monitoring the close out of any non- conformances or outstanding items.

Review and monitor the implementation of the quality. Safety and environmental management plans in accordance with the contract requirements,

Validate that the installation of material which are subject to employer’s approval are installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the relevant fire testing report and certification.

Certify that the completed works have been carried out in accordance with the design drawings approved by the statutory authorities, the IFC drawings, the material specification and good practice was followed in terms of workmanship.

Certify the as-built and the package quality documentation as being a true and accurate record of what has been constructed

Preparing the material submittal as per project specification and QCS 2010 & 2014 and submit for approvals.

Role (Briefly):

Coordinates with client/consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works.
