JOB PROFILE;

Attended 4 years of major shutdown activities in GE 9FA Gas Turbine & Double pass desalination plant.

Outage activities: Installation, servicing and configuring all types of turbine instruments such as cdm probe, spark plug, flame scanner, proximity and seismic vibration sensor, thermal heat detectors and w.s thermocouple

Perform tests, calibrations and troubleshooting all the field instruments/equipment’s such as pressure, temperature and level transmitters, valve positioners, pneumatic and hydraulic controllers, electronic controllers, pressure, temperature and level switches and other process control equipment, maintaining, calibrating, servicing and installation of RO outlet monitoring system analyzers such as TOC, TDS, chlorine, conductivity, calcium, total hardness, total alkalinity, turbidity and pH analyzers.

Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting field instruments, control valves, drives, motors, checking fluid levels, replacing filters or doing other preventive maintenance actions.

Hands on experience with impulse line tubing installations with fittings and other accessories.

Perform loop checking and commissioning activities from SOVs’, JBs’ and Proximity switches to DCS control panel.

Preparation of internal calibration test report in order to maintain the healthiness of all field instruments.

Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all site equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly.

Training and mentoring of junior technicians.

Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea’s to relevant management.

Cable pulling and termination of instrument cable from junction box to instruments.

Manufactures replacement parts and repairs and refinishes metal components using special machine shop equipment such as carbide tool grinders, hydraulic shears, hand saws, hydraulic presses, milling machines and lathes.

Perform basic routine task of the assigned craft by the maintenance Supervisor and Engineer.

Ensures availability of job tools and other accessories that are needed for the job to my Supervisor and Engineer in a weekly manner.

Perform general cleaning activities of all field instruments and other major equipment’s in the site.

Perform regular check and inspection the entire plant for the environment safety.

Ensure that all hazardous materials required for work are stored safely.

Ensure that a new spare material purchased meets the maintenance requirement for the running plant.

Submitting clear and concise report based on field investigation.

Preparation of weekly and monthly progress report.

Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with HSE policy, procedures and Safety Management System.
