During my time, I helped increase the work efficiency by anticipating and implementing a systematic documentation workflow system. My role was not limited to but involved the following duties:

Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

Prepare budget forecasts and ensure all LPOs issued are in line with the budget approved.

Manage all accounting transactions and prepare budget forecasts.

Publish financial statements on time and ensuring bank statements tally with the company books every month end.

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable including petty cash or credit card purchases.

Review of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned

Prepare as well as manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

Ensure timely bank payments and maintain a record of all cheques / PDC issued and collected

Review and update the invoices list on monthly basis and provide it to the management for approval while ensuring proper employees deductions as applicable.

Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.

Follow the accounts payable closing check list and ensure proper monthly, quarterly and annual closing process/procedures.

Compute and prepare VAT returns.

Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.

Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.

Audit financial transactions and documents.

Comply with financial policies and regulations.
