Duties and Responsibility,

Inspection of necessary work permits, prior to beginning of any activities at site,

Coordination with the client’s safety personals regarding safety procedure in the job site.

Inspection of Safety sign boards and warning tape to avoid accident.

Monitor all workers to ensure proper safety outfit, such as safety belt, safety shoes, helmet, safety glass, eye goggles, earplugs and masks etc.

Reminding all workers that the safety is the best policy and to target zero accident.

Coordinate with the sub-contractor’s safety from time to time regarding safety matters.

Responsible to make regular site inspection to monitor sub-contractor’s compliance with safety program.

Inspection of workers and equipment’s in the job site to ensure proper safety procedures as per client requirements.

Making daily reports regarding unsafe practices at the jobsite and take preventive steps to avoid recurrence.

Attending toolbox of sub-contractors to ensure that they are discussing safety procedures.

Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly inspection and monitoring all activities.

Scaffold inspection to ensure that erection is as per the applicable project standard and specification.

Inspection of all hot Work areas to ensure that the hot work is done in strict compliance of the safety requirements for hot work activities.

Promoting safety awareness among the working crew and supervisory staff.

Preparation of JSA (Job safety analyses).

Responsible for the inspection of color coding system.

To take immediate action if any unsafe act or condition are identified, includes halting work till unsafe act or condition is rectified. Decision making is restricted to decision to half work. All accidents, incidents and near misses at the job site shall be reported immediately to the management.

Inspection of portable cabins for interior fittings like as electrical connections, emergency alarm system, fire safety systems, pantry facilities, sanitary facilities and lighting devices.

Revision of observation reports submitted by HSE officers at the end of shift.

Inspection of all areas for sufficient light arrangements in night shifts.

Close and strict monitoring of radiography activities for area barricading, warning lights, sign boards use of PPE, stand by man assigned, safety coverage and trained /certified technicians and supervisor of radiography team.

Inspection of scaffolds,ladders, trenches and excavations to ensure safe execution

Inspection of workers equipment’s in the job site to ensure proper working condition.

Coordination with the client’s safety personal regarding safety procedure in job site.

Discussing the latest mistakes done by the workers and giving them awareness to avoid accidents and near misses.

Inspection of work site on daily basis and reporting.

Conducting emergency evacuation drill.
