About the Organization:-

IL&FS Tamil Nadu Power Company Ltd (“ITPCL”) is a SPV incorporated by IL&FS Group under the energy platform (i.e. IEDCL) for implementation of the Thermal Power Project (“Project”), at Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu. The project is being implemented in Phases. Phase I of the project is for 1200 MW comprising of 2 units of 600 MW each. Second phase shall have 3 x 660 MW.Phase-1 of 2*600 MW will be in Commercial Operation.

The Boiler is HG- HG-2030/17.5-YM model provided by the People's Republic of China Harbin Boiler Factory Co., Ltd. The Turbine is N600-16.7/538/538 model provided by Donfang Turbine Company Ltd., China.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working as a Unit Controller/Asst Shift In charge on 2x600MW IL&FS TamilNadu Power Company Ltd, Cuddalore, TamilNadu.

Involved in Desk Operations of 600 MW and responsible for Control of Boiler, Turbine & its auxiliaries.

Involved in Performance monitoring including Heat rate & Efficiency calculations, Preparing documents pertaining to PAT Cycle, MIS, SAP-PM Work Permits issuing and monitoring.

Competent in handling Normal plant operations including Cold, Warm, Hot & Extreme Hot Start Ups, Shutdowns and Shift management.

Handle Emergency plant operations such as black outs, tripping with confident & continuously monitor parameters of desk operation.

Competent to take decisions for operation related issues on real time basis.

Ensure availability of critical equipment. Achieving targeted PLF on day to day basis.

Coordinate with maintenance departments for planned shutdowns & during unplanned outages for taking back in operations within target time.

Coastal Energen Pvt Ltd (ENERGEN) promoted by Coal & Oil (C & O) Group comprising of 2 x 600 MW sub-critical Pulverized Coal fired Thermal Power Plant with subcritical condensing steam turbine-generator unit with capacity of 2 600MW. The Boiler is HG-2060/17.5-YM9 model provided by the People's Republic of China Harbin Boiler Factory Co., Ltd. The Turbine is N600-16.7/538/538 model provided by Harbin Turbine Co., Ltd.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Worked as a Unit Controller/Asst Shift In charge on 2x600MW Mutiara Thermal Power Project at Tuticorin, TamilNadu.

Involved in Desk Operations of 600 MW and responsible for Control of Boiler, Turbine & its auxiliaries.

Competent in handling Normal plant operations including Cold, Warm, Hot & Extreme Hot Start Ups, Shutdowns and Shift management. Handle Emergency plant operations such as black outs, tripping with confident & continuously monitor parameters of desk operation.

Competent to take decisions for operation related issues on real time basis.

Monitoring of Steam& Water quality, Coal & Ash analysis & Critical Parameters & Environment Parameters like Dust, Sox, Nox, CO, Sea Water Blow down temperature, etc.

Coordinate with maintenance departments for planned shutdowns & during unplanned outages for taking back in operations within target time.

Maintaining the Scheduled load with respect to grid frequency & achieve the set performance parameters targets for the plant.

Preparation, Maintaining and Recording of Shift Logs, MIS & Operation Log Sheets & Defect lists.

Preparation & updating of equipment defects & failure analysis report, Startup Checklists & SD reports. Monitoring of Lube Oil Sample and analysis report.

Issue of PTW Systems and maintaining Lock in DCS for individual valves, dampers & equipments.

To guide the control room engineers and operational area personnel in carrying out normal and emergency operations.

Ensure availability of critical equipment. Achieving targeted PLF on day to day basis.

Involved in Performance monitoring including Heat rate & Efficiency calculations, preparing documents pertaining to PAT Cycle.

Involved in Boiler Cold ventilation Test and Gas Tightness test of ESP, Coal Mill and feeder Operation & commissioning activities.

Involved in Boiler Pre Commissioning Activities like Air Leakage Test, Hydro Test and identifying Various Leakages and seepages. Exposure on Commissioning activities such as Hydro test, Acid Cleaning, Alkali Flushing, Steam Blowout& Passivation techniques & Preparation of Protocols.

Involved in Commissioning & trouble shooting of FD fan, ID fan, PA fan and SADC System.

Responsible for Commissioning of No Load & Load Trial for HT and LT Motors.

Project Execution & Supervising the Erection & Alignment of material handling systems like AHP & CHP.
