Description: An introduction ‘Automated First Registration and Licensing’ (AFRL) is the system used by Opel Vauxhall (O/V) to register new vehicles in the DVLA data base.

In respond to environmental safety DVLA introduced a new set of requirements, which needed to be provided by the Vehicle Manufacturer i.e. Opel Vauxhall to successfully register the vehicle. DVLA also requested to provide additional ‘Keeper’ information and it is mandatory in case of Import of vehicle, registering a personalized number plate and using PIP (personal independence payment) to register a vehicle.

The other major requirement is to respond to the change of technology and adapt to new API gateway introduced by the DVLA. To call the ‘new’ API services the registration and validation messages required to be upgraded.

Opel Vauxhall and PCD (Peugeot, Citroen and DS) are the part of PSA Group. Hence the collaboration is essential to write a common message out to DVLA. To achieve this both O/V and PCD need to collaborate with each other to produce the same message to DVLA.

Description: BNY MELLON is a global leader in securities servicing for issuers, investors and financial intermediaries. It’s primary business includes securities servicing, global payment services, privet client services, Asset management, Custodian services, corporate banking and Global Market services.

A) NEXEN API project:

IAS is an online real-time multicurrency portfolio accounting and general ledger system. It supports all security asset types, can handle both domestic and multicurrency portfolios in any client base currency.

IAS services different valuation cycles services daily, monthly valuations weekly, and semi-monthly and monthly closings. IAS is integrated with the Custody Management System (CMS, interfaces for accounting custodial client trades, corporate action information and FX trades), the CORE reporting system, the Client Reporting Service (CRS) and the Performance Measurement System.

As a part of NEXEN API project we have been developed core IAS functionality over the API store which can be easily consumed by Clients, they don’t require to login to mainframe CICS screen, it can be easily access from Web and it is very quicker user friendly.

Developed API so far: Transaction API, Holdings API and Repost API.

Developing new programs on mainframe which access data from VSAM files/Databases and create the RESPONSE structure as per the Request from API. Data passes from Mainframe to Java API code via MQs and then Java API programs changes it to JSON format and send it to UI (Web Page).

B) IAS Project-OTC clearing and Regulations:

Function of Custodian in OTC Derivative trade:

Custodian provides various services to ensure the smooth settlement of OTC contracts in time. Custodian performs various functions like Contract Maintenance, Event Processing, Valuation, Payment and Settlement, Collateral Management, Reconciliation, Account Maintenance and Reporting.

OTC Derivative project:

It acts as Online inquiry system. User see the reports from front end screens from IAS GUI Distributed environment side which in turn calls stored procedures(SQL/Cobol) in back end and fetch the data from data base and put the results to end screen. It creates Web services that expose database operations (SQL SELECT and DML statements, XQuery expressions, or calls to stored procedures) to client applications (Distributed Environment). The distributed environment (Java screen) calls to database through JDBC calls.

Prepared intermediate Cobol-store procedure (Driver program) which handles all the web call from GUII though WLM environment. This driver program calling different modules based on type of the call.

This program calls the different sub-modules and provide data for the holding-positions, Interest, Dividend, pending

Trades, Securities, General ledger Balances etc. All mentioned data resides in VSAM file in CICS region. All data passed back to Driver program which in turn passes back to WEB-GUI.

C) Production support and - Maintenance work:

Production support: providing support for IAS (Investment accounting system) Daily cycle, month-end cycle for all clients. In IAS system, daily around 1 million trades processed as a part of batch cycle. We have been working on fixing all production issues on top priority considering SLA with all clients should not be missed.

Simultaneously updates the prod support ticket in JIRA.

Interacted with BU on prod support issue and on weekly prod support call.

Maintenance Work: I have been working on number of production issues which have been observed by Prod service team, logged it as phone-in. Phone-ins are related any trade processing issues or Reporting issues, Price mismatch issue observed by user. we need to pick up each phone ins and work accordingly and revert to client as per the severity of phone ins.

Description: American General Life Insurance Company (AGL) is consolidating their life insurance platforms, operations and systems to create a more efficient, cost-competitive and agile operating model as part of their key initiative “One Life”. This initiative proposes to convert seven AGL administrative systems- Cyberlife, CFO, Master, Lifecomm 86, Lifecomm 90, ULA and Vantage - to two current American General Life and Accident Insurance Company (AGLA) administrative systems, AGNIS and VFLEX. AGNIS is the currently assumed target system for the fixed premium products and VFLEX for advanced products in ULA, Lifecomm 86 and Lifecomm 90.

OSS (One Solution System) is one of the ADMIN systems in the AGLA. It has different admin systems like VFLEX, AGNIS and OSS.

This Project intends to amend the current OSS system with more discount programs to verify that groups (or bundles) of policies will still continue to qualify for the discounts they are receiving till date. If they don't qualify anymore for the discounts, we need to alert the Customer Service people so that they can remove those discounts.

Created new MSP Platform for the LBG bank to issue mortgages for customers.

PCI DSS is Payment card Industry Data Security Standard, this is development project under the Full Application in the MSP system, Under the Full Application ‘fees’ Screen is developed to maintain all the fees details related to the mortgage, To maintain the security for the A/c no’s and the data previously SOLVE system is used, In order to maintain additional security to the fees system we newly introduced the third party system which is called as PCI DSS.
