CAREER ACHIEVEMENT

I was the process lead for JKX Gas Processing Facility- Dew point plant, Russia. The challenging fast track project was started from concept development to EPC Detail design, commissioning and handed over within 32 months. The plant operation met all the design objectives. The team received Client appreciation. The GPF (Gas processing facility) project includes gas gathering, Dew point control, refrigeration unit, Glycol dehydration unit and Amine unit including all utilities and flare. The plant is located in Russia.

2016-2017: at Tecnicas Reunidas, Madrid, Spain – Zekreet Gasoline Project.

It’s a challenging Fast track FEED execution project. Technical responsibility / Lead Coordinator (PMT) for Process engineering design deliverables. Supervised FEED process engineering team’s work. Review FEED design documents, involved in design review meetings, Coordinate with FEED contractor and provided required inputs & firmed up design basis. Handled more than 1500 process documents, each document had 2 to 3 revisions. Provided most of the CRS comments.

BP – Rumailah Operating Organization, Basra, Iraq (From May’18)

Lead Process Engineer, Working with engineering execution team providing process design/engineering support and technical support for capital/expansion projects, debottlenecking studies, revamp, brownfield and TAR MOC (Management of Change)/Small projects for Rumailah Oil & Gas fields starting from Wellhead to Crude storage. The facility project includes Wellheads, flowlines, water injection, Well fluid separation, Dehydrators & Desalters, Produced water treatment and flare system (exclusion zone based on Vent dispersion and thermal radiation). Interface with Operations & Optimisation team. Technical Query (TQ)/Engineering Query (EQ) resolution. List of small project responsibilities included below:

Provided process engineering support to the site operations for number of MOCs and conducted initial evaluations in coordination with Operations and Facilities Engineering to exploit the plant for maximum gas delivery and liquid recovery.

Flexline: Well Fluid Manifold Interconnection between DG05 to DG04:

Concept study, Design Basis and assumptions, hydraulic calculations, P&IDs, Site visit, MOC document preparation, P&ID review meeting, participated in HAZOP. Interface with wells team, Operations team and Optimization team.

Filter Backwash Automation Project:

Concept study to finalize the scheme, Design Basis and assumptions, developed Process and control philosophy, PFDs, P&IDs, C&E and Site survey. Provided inputs to automation vendor, prepared process instrument datasheets for flow meters, turbidity meters, level transmitters and MOVs.

Degassing/Separation train Control Valve Debottlenecking study:

Control valves which are to be replaced for various separation trains are identified based on debottlenecking study. Hydraulic calculations and control valve calculations are performed. Process control valve datasheets are prepared for procurement.

Renaissance Project for Qurainat & Janubia Degassing Station:

Design basis, Flarenet Process hydraulic study/calculation for complete degassing station, various case studies and scenarios, adequacy check of the new flare system, Site survey and tie-in identification, Line sizing and P&ID development and MOC documents.

Over Pressure Protection (OPP) Study for various Degassing Stations:

Prepared and Reviewed Process relief calculation study report for all the PSVs within the Degassing stations based on debottlenecking flow. Prepared MOC documents such as P&IDs and Cause & Effects.

Hammar Marsh – Trunkline Project:

Prepared Simulation, flow assurance calculations, PFDs, P&IDs and Line list. Participated in HAZOP & LOPA studies.

Instrument Air System Upgrade Project:

Station wide IA system upgrade including integration of New compressors and new IA receivers. Prepared process design basis, IA consumption summary, P&IDs and other MOC documents based on Site survey.

Senior Process Engineer – PMT (Project Management Team), Worked with QG – PMT team for execution of below capital projects. I am involved through all phases of project life cycle right from project initiation, project evaluation, life cycle cost analysis, business case, techno commercial feasibility, process configuration case/capacity optimization, Concept, licensor proposal technical and commercial evaluation, Contractor bid evaluation, licensor PDP coordination and reviews, BEDP, FEED & detailed engineering (EPC). Zekreet Gasoline Project. Prepared SOW for Licensor selection and define all the project requirements.

Provided response and support wherever needed for Licensor’s clarification during bidding stage.

Licensor’s proposal review and raise comments & clarifications as needed.

Was frontrunner in Licensor evaluation (both Technical & Commercial) and completed Life cycle cost analysis for Licensor comparison and selection.

Prepare FEED SOW, clarification and FEED bid evaluation. State the process requirements clearly to minimize any change order during EPC.

Make sure the process design is foolproof and meets all the QG standards, procedures and provide clarification if any conflict/ambiguity arises.

Involved in licensor document review and provided comments in Gasoline section of the plant.

Participate in meetings with Licensor (UOP) for KOM’s and review meeting for PFD’s and P&ID’s in UOP offices at Chicago, USA. Attend weekly progress meeting with UOP.

Oil & Gas Processing & LNG:

IPCL Gandhar – India

Worked as Lead Process Engineer for this project. The IPCL complex includes revamp existing units such as Inlet gas Amine unit, Gas dehydration, Cryogenic gas plant including turbo expansion and demethanizer and residue gas compression. The project scope involves pre-feed study for the existing unit to increase plant throughput, to enhance C2 recovery, Simulations for plant DCS case, equipment analysis based on existing plant operation and break point analysis.

Exxon Mobil URC Subsea LNG Transfer Conceptual Study, USA

Worked as Lead Process Engineer for this project. The project involves concept development study to evaluate optimum number of flexible riser and pipeline configuration for LNG offloading and Export gas transfer. Evaluated methods to determine frictional pressure drop factors for flexible risers. Hydraulic pressure profile was developed. Simulation to determine the Recondenser operating pressure and minimum turn down, BOG estimations.

Enterprise Products Operating, LP – Centerville, Louisiana

Process Technology selection & evaluation. Preparation of Process Design for 300 mmscfd NGL Unit for Neptune II Cryogenics liquids recovery Plant. The unit was designed and built based on IPSI’s Enhanced NGL Recovery Process.

El Paso (Coastal) – Patterson, Louisiana

Pelican-II Gas Plant - Preparation of Pre-FEED Process Design Package for 400 mmscfd NGL Unit. The design study was carried out based on Gas Subcooled Process (GSP).

Pemex – Arenque, Mexico

Preparation of process design for 2 X 200 mmscfd NGL liquids recovery unit and fractionation unit. The unit was designed based on CRYOMAX technology.

Chevron Shtokman LNG, Kola Peninsula, Russia

The Project Scope involves Pre-Feed study for 15 MTPA LNG Liquefaction plant. Prepared study reports “Power Generation Analysis & Options” & “Utility Concepts”.

RasGas LNG Liquefaction Train 1&2 Debottlenecking Revamp project, Qatar

The project scope involves study of various debottlenecking options. Performed activities such as Heat and Mass balance for increased plant throughput, Sizing of equipment and piping, equipment & instrument load sheets and Unit hydraulics based on existing operation.

Sempra Cameron LNG Gasification Terminal Expansion - Hackbery, La

This LNG Project is designed for 1.3 BSCFD natural gas send out rate. Responsible for FEED activities such as sizing of piping & equipment, development of P&IDs and hydraulic calculation studies.

Freeport LNG Development(formerly Cheniere LNG), Phase-I&II– Freeport, Texas

This plant is designed for 1.5 BSCFD natural gas send out rate. Job includes development of FEED and Engineering for the LNG gasification terminal.

Cairn Energy India Ltd.

LPG recovery proposal. Studied various process schemes to recover LPG from Well fluid. The design was for the preparation of Techno Commercial feasibility report.

My responsibility includes pre-bid assistance such as preparation of various Simulation cases to maximize the recovery of LPG, Preparation of equipment list, equipment sizing calculations and project man hour estimation.

BHN Process Platform Revamp Project: The project purpose is to increase the Oil and Gas production rates apart from revamp of several packages. The revamp includes modifications in both process and Utility systems including gas dehydration and Glycol System.

ONGC, India - Clamp-on Related Modifications of Pipelines. Includes provision for Water injection and Lift gas injection to wells. My responsibility includes preparation & checking of P&ID’s and Line Sizing based on API 14E criteria. Sizing calculation of Instruments such as PSV’s, Control Valves and Restriction Orifice.

Enron Oil & Gas - PH & PJ well head platforms and pipelines project. Includes Test Separator facilities. Preparation & Checking of P&ID’s, Line List and equipment list. Preparation of SAFE charts as defined in API 14C.

Vietsov Petro, Vietnam - Central Processing Platform – III.

Preparation of Pre-bid design package. My responsibility includes pre-bid engineering activities such as Preparation of P&ID’s, Power Load summary calculation, Specification for equipments/packages, Eq. list and man hour estimation.

PT-Punj Lloyd, Indonesia - Kertapati Jambi Multi product Pipeline project.

My responsibility includes preparation of P&ID’s and Line List. Calculation for sizing equipments, fire water and foam requirement calculation for deluging equipment.

Larsen & Toubro - Mumbai

ZARA PRMS (Pressure reducing and metering station), Syria.

My responsibility includes pre-bid engineering activities such as Preparation of PFD’s, Simulation for various schemes, package datasheets for gas engine driven compressors with waste heat recovery.

Petroleum Refining:

Ras Tanura Integrated Petrochemicals, Saudi Arabia

Working on Process Design Package preparation for 210,000 MTPA Butanol Plant. Lead the effort to prepare the technical proposal package. Playing lead role for the basic design of Butanol Refining Unit.

Yanbu Export Refinery Project, Saudi Arabia

Worked on front-end design for 400,000 bbl/day Export Refinery project for Conoco Phillips & Saudi Aramco. Involved in Naphtha Hydrotreater, Isomerization Unit, CCR & Benzene Extraction Unit. Responsibility includes providing licensor(UOP) input data, Basis of design & process support activities for establishing unit configuration and capacities. Played Lead role for Naphtha Hydrotreater.

Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) – Bahrain

Gas Oil Hydrocracker for Bahrain Petroleum Company, Bahrain based on Chevron Lummus Global Technology. The process design package was developed for a grass root complex which includes Amine unit and LPG treatment as well.

ConocoPhillips – Texas

Preparation of front-end process design for 35000 bbl/day Low Sulphur Gasoline project for Conoco Phillips, USA, based on S-Zorb technology. Job included value engineering studies to improve the process and to reduce the cost.

Hadramount Refineries - Yemen

Preparation of feasibility design, Pre-Feed deliverables and unit configuration for 40,000 bbl/day grass roots refinery in Yemen. The new refinery complex includes Crude unit, Naphtha Hydrotreater, Semi-Regeneration reformer and Sour water stripping. Responsibility includes various activities such as Pro-II Simulation model& Optimization, Heat Integration, PFD’s, Equipment list and Equipment sizing.

Indian Oil Refinery Corp. - Vacuum distillation unit revamp. The project purpose was to increase the capacity and optimize the heat exchanger train. Establish equipment Capacity limits and ways to increase the capacity of existing equipment.

Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd, Vizag

Diesel Hydro-Desulphurization project. The job included various detail engineering activities for a new unit.

Flint Hill Resources – Minnesota Refinery - Hydrogen Unit

Preparation of process design package and engineering for 65 MMSCFD Hydrogen Unit based on natural gas feed.

Chemicals:

Hot oil unit study to reduce emissions.

Modifications carried out in chilled water and -40 C brine units to distribute the heat load proportionately.

Designed and prepared P&ID for removal of heat from Sulfuric acid dilution.

Mass & energy balance for cefatroxime bulk drug plant.
