Resume:

As for a little background, I graduated in **** with a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Merced. To where I got now is quite an interesting road, from working at a cheese plant, to becoming a Lyft driver, to then being offered a job as a compliance engineer, to now being a Service Engineer at Siemens. Becoming a project manager has been on my mind for about a year now and this has been due to the fact that I work very closely with project managers and find their work very interesting and something that I would want to focus on in my career goals. I am currently working for the Service Team for Building Automation at Siemens, supporting a total of 6 project managers in both engineering and project coordination.

When it comes to any sort of project role, you become the spokesperson for your company and for yourself in front of the client, as who you are representing in the current project. I have had to stay on hand as the front face of Siemens when it came to a project with a big pharmaceutical company. Being able to grasp a lot of information as I had to organize all their equipment that they wanted on their new control system. I talked with the customer and the sales rep with what they wanted for the project as well as what they expected on their drawings that I then created. This project allowed me adapt to a project manager mindset, as I had to communicate with the sales personnel for this job to execute the designated tasks in the proposal. When working on this massive project, I also had other projects going on at the same time, so time management was extremely crucial. I am also currently studying to get my PMP certification as well.

For 1.5 years, I supported the Project Managers as their Project Coordinator. I managed their sub-contractors, communicating with them and making sure their payments and materials were on-time on site. I ordered the materials from Siemens and 3rd party vendors for the projects as well as communicated with the warehouse as to what materials were to be sent. I managed the paperwork for the purchase order, change orders, and customers regulations in an organized fashion so the project can move fluidly. I also monitorized each projects milestones and timelines, communicating both with the customer and Project Manager to make sure the project was on schedule and that all the deliverables were accounted for in the timelines that was projected. I am currently still supporting the Service Group as their Engineer and Project Coordinator.
