Ainomugisha is a Monitoring and Evaluation associate with range of knowledge and experiences the field of Data management and M & E. She has 4 years working experience in Data management Monitoring and evaluation role in handling HIV/AIDS/TB/HIV SMC, ART, EMTCT and EID project data funded by PEPFAR and CDC, however she has played a bigger role in Data management, Mentorship and trainings/CMEs and M & E field on the different projects especially developing data management systems, reports to feed into the HMIS reports, Work plans, developing Logical frame works and designing data collection tools.

WORK EXPERIENCE

1.Currently am working with infectious Diseases institute as a Field Monitoring and Evaluation officer Hoima field office effective 1st January,2018 up to date supporting Hoima, Buliisa and Kikuube Districts. Where i provide overall management of data, oversee of document within the facilities, mentorship of the health facility and district staff in proper capture and management of HMIS data.

Provide capacity building by training appropriate staff at partner facilities and the district on how to collect and manage data and also provide on-going support to ensure quality of data gathered. To ensure the availability and proper use of updated MoH (HMIS) data tools in all supported sites in the Hoima, Kikuube & Buliisa Districts.

Carry out Data Quality Assessment Audits exercise of the data submitted on quarterly basis together with the Biostatisticians office and also participate in data cleaning exercise.

Support in preparing bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and -annual programmatic performance reports in a timely manner.

Provide guidance and support to QI advisors in the development and implementation of monitoring tools, which will include, but not be limited to, data collection, analysis and reporting on program indicator

Building capacity and providing support to my supervisee like data officers, medical records officers, data volunteers in ensuring that data is completely and accurately captured in the appropriate HMIS tools and data bases like Uganda EMR, PEPFAR hybrid, Project MIS.

Ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting of data into DHIS2 and PEPFAR data bases as appropriate. Demonstrated ability to use monitoring and evaluation findings to inform adjustments to program in order to maximize project effectiveness

Demonstrated experience in training on M&E systems and data collection, also have all necessary computer, database, statistical software, and analytical skills, particularly in issues related to monitoring and evaluation

2. From July 2015 to December 2017 worked as a data officer at infectious Diseases institute at Kiboga field Office supporting Kiboga and Kyankwanzi Districts. I have experience in medical data management where I mentor district and health facility staff in proper capture and management of HMIS data.

The following are my primary duties & responsibilities which includes;

Data management

Support facility staff in timely compilation of the routine HMIS reports

Ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy of data captured in the HMIS tools

Support health facility staff produce data summaries for display on the noticeboards showing the progress especially the OPD, HIV data.

Participate in analysis, interpretation of data and preparation of performance reviews.

Entering all -M&E relevant reports into the online systems like Uganda_EMR, DHIS2 & Hibrid

systems

- Ensuring accuracy of entered data and comparing it with the existing filing system to make sure all records are consistent and aligned.

Documentation

Ensuring Availability of required HMIS tools like registers, forms and guidelines

Provide supplies forecast to avoid stock outs of HMIS tools

Support and mentor health facility staffs and volunteers in management of patient files, registration of patients and ensuring that the medical records room is orderly and all files accounted for.

2. I participated in National Housing and population Census in September 2014 as Assistant supervision for the Ward in ishaka Division in Ishaka –Bushenyi Municipality.

3. Still did my internship with the organization IDI- infectious diseases institute as an intern data officer in the Data section under EKKP (Expanded Kibaale –Kiboga Project) & KCCA (Kampala City Council Authority) projects.
