Major Project - “ Ramifying the use of waste engine oil and reclaimed asphalt pavement in the construction of roads.”

In this project, we attempted to reduce the optimum binder content for highway construction. This is achieved by replacing virgin bitumen with bitumen obtained from reclaimed asphalt pavement. Workability of RAP is achieved by using waste engine oil as we obtain its property suitable enough to replenish lubricating properties of used bitumen.

This project provides a better option of Asphalt Pavement Recycling which is very much needed in the transportation Industry. Environmental, Economic, and Social benefits are encouraging factors for this project.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP / EXPERIENCE

Public Works Departments, Ghaziabad

4 Weeks training-: 7/6/2018 - 6/7/2018

Widening of Khajuri pusta road to 4 lanes.

During this internship, I worked as a site trainee under professional engineers who guided me to understand the processes going-on on the site. I learned how to perform various field tests on subgrade soil to obtain the properties of the soil. I learned about the sand replacement test method to find out the specific gravity of the soil. The project was under Kasana Builders and PWD Ghaziabad Supervised the project. The estimated cost of the Project is 40 Crore.

Supervising House Construction, Etawah

Here I designed my 1000 square feet house’s first and second-floor using SketchUp. Then from the month of November, I continuously supervised the construction work till date and try to apply my basic knowledge of concrete structures. I found a few basic details which were ignored by workers in such small projects such as lateral ties alignment and design, lap length, and development length. I learned site basics and other practical aspects during this period.
