COMPUTER-ASSISTED ROBOT-ENHANCED SYSTEMS (CARES) – STUDENT LAB ASSISTANT

Responsibilities: Created a Chess Playing Robotic Arm that allowed paraplegics/quadriplegics to command a robotic arm to perform the player’s desired chess moves via voice command. The user had the option to play against the computer or another user. Additionally, a GUI was designed to assist in design purposes and provide additional visualization for the user.
Utilized: Arduino UNO, Matlab, GUIDE, Robotics Toolbox, Chess Engine (Stockfish8), Voice Integration (Python 2.7).
