• Key responsibilities

1. To conduct EHS, fire audits and inspections/Hazard hunt to ensure that adequate controls are in place to prevent injuries and to minimize damages to property and environment. 2. Developing, proposing and implementing EHS guidelines, processes and methods. 3. Assisting in the preparation of objectives and policies and ensuring its implementation at site. 4. Preparing and maintaining safe work procedure and risk assessment of various site activities. 5. Preparing and maintaining all safety and fire safety related documents. 6. To identify hazards/non-compliances (UA/UCs) and escalating it to concerned engineer or higher authorities.

7. To conduct mock drills, fire drill and fire risk assessment, preparing the report and implementing emergency action plan.

8. To investigate all incident/accident, near-miss that occur at workplace, record them and recommend CAPA (corrective action/preventive action) to prevent recurrence. 9. Inspection, maintenance and testing of firefighting equipment and systems. 10. Reporting monthly KPI’s to safety manager.

11. To prepare EHS reports, MoM, statistics and circulate it to responsible authority. 12. To highlight areas where training is required, identifying training needs and to conduct EHS and fire safety training for employees, contractor supervisor and workmen. 13. To conduct safety marshal and contractor site in charge meeting weekly and taking feedback. 14. To carry out contractor evaluation report by evaluating contractor’s monthly EHS report and other reports.

15. To conduct various programs/promotional activities during safety day, fire day and world environment day.

16. Inspecting material handling equipment (Forklift, Hydra, Crane etc.), lifting tools and tackles and checking required forms and certificates.

17. Inspecting PPEs and ensuring stocks are maintained as per requirement. 18. To ensure first aid box is maintained properly by contractor. 19.
