Duties and Functions:
Bed coordinator tracked, performed and enforced all activities which involve the placement and movement of patients and helped to monitor efficient transfers and discharges. This included following up on ER patients admitted to the hospital and patients which have been discharged by the doctor. The Coordinator helped to expedite floor discharges and facilitates admissions from ER or direct admissions. This position worked collaboratively and closely with the House Supervisor, Nursing Managers and Needs Assessment.
