Due to family bereavement temp jobs while caring for parents and moving home

Wrote a paper on increasing integrity in the Government reporting of data and information to prevent extremist political groups from being able to perpetuate myths and fallacies. This work was developed over ten years from 2010 when I was elected defeating the British National Party.

First book published by I2I publishing. The seventy-thousand-word novel was written in four weeks and then edited. I am writing a sequel currently in my spare time. I have also blogged for many years and also written speeches in the public domain. I have been informed by more than one MP that I have a skill with wording and words and so have determined to seek to try copywriting.

This was a contract role; I was offered a permanent role with Nisa 3 weeks into my time there but at the time I lived in Hull and this role was in Scunthorpe so I continued on a contract basis.

My duties in this role included:

Building Dashboards, gathering requirements with stock management teams for massive retail provider.

Reconciling data and information from databases to ensure the best and most representative data reporting utilising complex excel formula and power bi.

Training management in the use of power bi for presentation and reporting purposes. Some SQL coding for reporting via Slim Force software and pivoting data with Rostoc.

This was a temporary contract my assignment was to cleanse and automate data for the debt collection team

My duties in this role included:

Carrying out investigations and designing new reporting processes for Collections at NPower to improve performance of the business plan.

Liaised across departments to improve strategies with senior management.

Utilising VBA coding to automatically test data both within the business and when in receipt of data from other stakeholders.

Basic SQL querying and power BI for map/pivot/slicer reports.

CRM Analyst July 2016 February 2017

My duties in this role included:

Working as a CRM (Salesforce) Analyst I created a strategy in liaison with management to cleanse data in the data warehouse following a migration.

Short and medium-term processes were created to ensure that immediate operational data requirements were streamlined and accurate.

Whilst long term procedures were put in place to ensure accuracy and validity would improve over time.

In addition to this I performed the role of Business Analyst building SQL based reports placed into pivot tables and created dashboards that measured performance/KPI’s as desired by management and the sales representatives. I worked very closely with the latter to ensure successful outcomes.

Acted as a mediator between IT and Sales Reps to teach Salesforce Software and address any bugs or issues.

I also carried out investigations to explain changes in team performance and queries relating to changes in trends of the data.

Business Support Analyst June 2015 – July 2016

East Sussex NHS Trust

My duties in this role included:

Creating queries using SQL, converting Access Database Queries in to SQL.

Creating reports on an adhoc basis for senior Consultants and policy makers for East Sussex NHS Trust. This included Freedom of Information Requests also.

Meeting with and working with stakeholders across the Trust to ensure reporting reflected their needs and policy objectives.

Creating and employing existing queries on a weekly, monthly and quarterly period for performance monitoring.

I am an intermediate user of SQL and have some experience of integrated SSRS and am eager to develop my skills further (I regularly employed varied Joins, Unions, Sub Query and CTE’s).

Administrator Aug 2012 – 2015

East Sussex County Council

My duties in this role included:

Data analysis via excel to streamline systems and processes for the Local Authority Adult Social Care Department so that they could identify better ways of working with the budgetary constraints they face.

Use of excel formula, V-lookups, pivot tables and charts to develop regular and ad-hoc reporting.

Extracted data from a variety of databases including Access and used the advanced tools within Excel and Access to identify trends and relationships.

Running, walking, reading, fishing, fencing, computer games, football, running, socialising, wine and current affairs (was an elected rural parish councillor from 1998-2002) in an effort to add the local town to go a little greener. - Studied two years of a law degree, did not complete as I was only interested in certain specific areas of law though gained 2:1/2:2 marks on essays/exams.
