Position: Project Manager/Portfolio Manager Sep 2011 – Jan 2020 Project: Algo Trading – Lab and Infrastructure Deployments (March 2016 – Jan 2020): The Specialized Equities Trading Infrastructure (SETI) team focuses on the build out and optimization of high speed algorithmic trading infrastructure.

Managed the SETI Labs Engineering, Tooling, and Architecture Portfolio. Interfaced with Project and Enterprise Computing leads to ensure alignment of overall team direction. Tracked book of work and Jira reporting, ran lab engineering and App Dev scrum calls, produced a management deck and performance metrics, tracked lab budget and hardware procurement, conducted candidate interviews, managed various other ad hoc projects.

Managed the deployment of new A10 load balancers to replace existing F5s across North America and EMEA, and deployed a new Layer 7 routing solution on the A10s, conducted BCP failover testing on all systems.

Deployed dozens of real time market data ticker plants across MS Colos. Coordinated with the vendor as well as cross-functional internal teams to build and configure devices and accompanying network gear.

Migrated and decommissioned the legacy lab data center with lab personnel and end users to ensure connectivity in the new environment.

Tracked certification and hardware testing for all Application teams requiring new firm standard servers, determined priority and demand; managed the build out and allocation of new lab servers.

Project: Enterprise Stack Adoption (June 2014 – March 2016): The realignment of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney retail brokerage to a common infrastructure platform. Migrated applications to two new datacenters and decommissioned two legacy datacenters supporting 40,000 brokers.

Managed the decommission of legacy servers and infrastructure in the classic environment.

Notified system owners, tracked approvals, server status, ticket submissions, scheduled weekend events, RFB checks, tracked and remediated issues, and created status dashboards and documentation.

Monitored and consolidated Extrahop traffic logs, and created Splunk dashboards for real-time traffic analysis.

Managed infrastructure migrations of 10 applications to new Morgan Stanley datacenters.

Collaborated with project and engineering staff to create documentation for consumption by senior management on all work efforts.

Project: Environment Segregation (October 2014 – October 2015) : To increase physical security controls, implemented physical and virtual firewalls in front of all Wealth Management applications to separate the Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

Managed the implementation of $4M of network firewall equipment around the production environments of some of the most sensitive systems in the firm.

Led working sessions with a cross-divisional team including engineering, procurement, security, operations, and system owners.

Procured expedited technology funding by engaging Security, Telco, Sourcing, and Procurement teams.

Position: Project Coordinator / Jr. Project Manager September 2011 – June 2014 Project: MSCI IP Reclamation (March 2013 – June 2014) – Migration of over 10,000 international devices to free public IP space. The business was under a tight time constraint to turn over public IPs to avoid financial penalties to the firm.

Managed multiple workstreams of the project to successfully convert all devices on time, preventing public IP conflicts and financial penalties to the firm, while troubleshooting connectivity issues, querying firewall logs for external vendor connectivity, trace ports, and re-IPing hosts.

Worked with Service Managers to schedule IP conversions, test user connectivity, query subnet information, and facilitate changes

Reported progress to management in weekly status meeting, created project documentation, tracked and documented business signoff, implemented project plan to completion

Compiled data from various sources including network tools and queries to Create and maintain the Master IP database for the project. (QIP Probe, LDAP, Servinfo, Active-View, fping, etc.) Project: Red to Blue (February 2012 – March 2013) - Nationwide effort to migrate all legacy Smith Barney Branches onto the Morgan Stanley Network.

Managed the implementation of a Scanner-to-FTP capability to send Mortgage documentation to clients.

Facilitated data migrations (included tracking, security approvals, documentation, hardware purchases, etc.).

Streamlined process of the categorization and reporting of helpdesk tickets following conversion activities including time-saving automation of the categorization process reducing the workload.
