Distinguished Achievements

1.Field level Qualitative Monitoring of ‘Chiranjeevi Scheme’of State Govt. of Gujarat: As founder health consultant of CMHS of IIM-A, evaluated cash voucher scheme of Govt. of Gujarat to reduce maternal mortality among tribal population of Panchmahal district of Baroda by staying one month among the tribes to evaluate ‘impact assessment’ of the scheme by interviewing service providers, district level managers and beneficiaries. Based on the evaluator report, Gujarat Govt. received innovative award from W.H.O. head quarter Geneva. (2006-07).

2.Implementation and Monitoring MDGs (millennium Development Goals) in private medical colleges of Tamil Nadu State of India: UNICEF funded project. Being a Professor of Community Medicine at SMMCHRI, Chennai conceptualized proposal and input provided as ‘Resource Exert’ throughout the project in 2012-13. Project report was published in the form of a booklet by UNICEF & SMMCHRI in November 2014.

3.Significant contribution as National Medical Consultant of W.H.O. in achieving ‘Elimination of Leprosy as Public Health Problem’ at National level by its stipulated time of the program in December 2005.

4.As HOD of Community Medicine at SMVMCH of Puduchery achieved 100% result in Community Medicine under Central University of Pondichery in 2009 batch in competetion with students of JIPMER, Puduchery.

5.As founder HOD of Community Medicine at DM-WIMS of Kerala achieved 100% result in Community Medicine under Kerala State Govt. University of Health Sciences (KUHS) for first batch in 2016.
