Sound knowledge in automotive and airframe stress analysis including Static, Fatigue, and Damage tolerance analysis by using FEM and Hand calculation methods.

Component Carbody assembly

Program: Bombardier Alstom Transportation (Six months)

Static and Durability stress analysis for entire Euro Carbody assembly using Hypermesh and Optistruct.

Ability to perform individually meshing of car body parts using 1D, 2D and 3D (Hex and Tetra) elements for meshing of Car body parts using Hypermesh and perform FEM validity checks before proceeding to analysis.

Sound knowledge of linear and non-linear static FEM analysis using Hypermesh and Optistruct.

Individually supported in Euro Carbody fastener modification from CBUSH to Spot weld and reanalyzed the assembly for static and fatigue loads.

Supported in meshing for various carbody parts and worked in integration of Amtrak CBS meshed parts into a single assembly using hypermesh.

Supported in peer review of Test reports prepared by team members by ensuring quality of deliverables.

Component Aircraft Engine Nacelle inlet assembly

Program: Boeing 787, Airbus A320neo, Bombardier CS100, MRJ, Embraer E-190/195

Client: Collins Aerospace, Bengaluru.

Static stress analysis (linear and nonlinear), fatigue analysis (LCF and HCF), stability analysis for entire engine nacelle inlet assembly using MSC Patran/Nastran and Hypermesh.

Involved in Conceptual Design Phase, Certification and Allowable Damage limits phases of nacelle inlet analysis.

Generation of FE model including linear and nonlinear analysis using MSC patran and Nastran.

Involved in detailed spreadsheet hand calculation and preparation stress substantiation reports.

Complete stress analysis performed individually for inlet components such as Lipskin, Forward Bulkhead, aft bulkhead and composite inner and outer barrels.

Tools Used: UTAS in house stress tools like ELAM, BJSFM and other stress tools, Hypermesh, Hypersizer, Nastran, Patran, Catia and MS-Office.

Stress Engineer, TECH MAHINDRA June 2011 – July 2014

Component Airframe Doors, Wings and Landing gear

Program: Bombardier CS100

Worked on C-Series aircraft doors involving full door skin, endpads and frames FEA static analysis.

Involved in non-linear static analysis of Door endpads including material, geometric and contact non linearity.

Worked on primary elements for Damage tolerance analysis by preparing report and analysis spreadsheet with the inspection intervals and inspection techniques along with FEM support data.

Performed composite analysis on Aft equipment Bay (AEB) door and radome using MSC patran.

Tools Used: Bombardier in house tools like CRPR, Golihath, Nasgro, Hypermesh, Nastran, Patran, Catia and MS-Office.
