Research Project carried on Development of a Mathematical Model of An Automotive Suspension System

A Research study on the development of a mathematical model of an automotive suspension system

A mathematical model of a suspension system has developed using the one, four and seven degrees of freedom model.

the model is developed using the Matlab/Simulink software and the input values like sprung and unsprung mass, spring stiffness, damping coefficient and the road profile are given as a input and the results are documented

The PID controller has been added to the design and then the model is being fine tuned using the tuner option in Simulink software for the good quality ride and handling of the vehicle and the results are documented.

The results of both models are compared to conclusion for the improved ride quality and handling of the vehicle with PID controller. Worked on Development of Electric Hybrid Powertrain model for Ford focus1.6L

Benchmarked the ford focus 1.6 L for the top speed, acceleration and fuel consumption of the car using the Artemis 150 driving cycle with the help of MS excel

A research study on the technical specifications and to the requirement of the appropriate battery capacity and the electric motor for the car based on the benchmarking results obtained.

Worked on top speed, acceleration, fuel consumption and the state of charge and discharge of the battery for the hybrid model of the car using MS excel

Worked on Proof of Design Concept for A Wall Bracket

Design optimization of a wall bracket using Hyperworks Opti struct and developed a concept proof design for a wall bracket.

The wall bracket is designed using the CATIA V5 by providing the appropriate dimensioning.

The material with values of stress, mass and Natural frequency of the wall bracket are given for refinement of the model structure. Research Analysis of Ride and Handling of Volkswagen polo

A project is carried out on damping characteristics of primary and secondary characteristics of ride and handling of the vehicle into different analysis using the MATLAB and Simulink software

Investigation on the primary and secondary characteristics of ride and handling with vehicle for crossing the single step with the speed of 10- 40 m/s and the results are documented.

Performed various driving simulation like over steer, under steer and the sharp turns in the curve and the forces which acts on vehicle while braking are done using Simpack software.

Research Analysis of Aerodynamics on Rear wing for Lift /Drag of a Formula 1 car

Performed wind tunnel testing on 1:20 scale model to study behaviour of the air and the other forces acting on the car.

Designed the rear car wing model using the CATIA V5
