To Whom It May Concern:
I am looking for a permanent position at the mid-to-senior level experience in engineering. I willingly chose contract positions in my 20’s so I could gain a wide range of knowledge in different industries, with different products/systems and also get a feel for different size companies (large Fortune 500 companies all the way down to local start-up companies).
I did this so I would know exactly what I wanted when I finally got to the point where I am now, ready to settle down for the remainder of my career. Looking back and reviewing the positions I have had, I now know exactly what I am looking for in a company and the role I want to achieve. Engineering is my passion, not just a job that I am good at, but what I love to do. There’s a huge difference in an employee that works in the engineering field because he has a degree or experience in engineering, compared to an employee who also has the passion, love, interest, motivation, and drive for the engineering field, an employee like myself.
My passion with engineering dates back to when I was 6 years old. I disassembled then assembled a vacuum cleaner because I wanted to know how it worked, how it was made, the materials that were used, etc. Then in high school, I took classes that touched bases on all types of engineering: mechanical, architectural, electrical, and design. In college, I focused my passion on Mechanical Engineering Design. After obtaining my A.A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Design, I wanted to expand my knowledge in the field of management and decided to pursue my B.A.S in Technology Management. As previously stated, I have had a longtime passion for engineering and I am a very teachable and fast learner when it comes to engineering and problem finding/problem solving. With being a previous athlete, obtaining my management degree, 10 years in an manufacturing/engineering environment, and 12 years in engineering design, I have acquired skills needed to work with other people as a team to help the company exceed their goals.
If you are seeking a motivated, dedicated, and determined employee, I believe I am the perfect candidate for the position. I am looking forward to exerting my passion, energy, and experience into proving just that. My desire is to find a company where I can make a difference for years to come. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Sean D. Ausec
