Responsible for overall operations management and Profit/Loss of $ 120 USD Million annual revenue steel roofing solutions revenue business with 470 employees in Tanzania. Led production, maintenance, project management, finance, HR, and IT operations with an aim of increasing organisational efficiency and effectiveness. Facility had cold rolling mill, metal coating line, tube mills, roll formers and captive power plant.

Supported company in achieving its highest expected Profit before Tax of USD 9 Million for calendar year 2019.
OTIF was improved to 97% in 2019 from 86% in 2018
Completed a natural gas based 4 Megawatts captive power generation plant from obtaining permits & licenses to erection/commissioning. Total project value was USD 4.2 Million
Cold rolling mill and Metal Coating Line production achieved highest volume of 68,000 mt in 2019, due to better pre-planned maintenance and focussed approach to meeting business plan target
Spearheaded project feasibility report for metal coating line upgradation and new color coating line installation valued at USD 18 Million.
Reduced variable costs by 16%, through aggressive waste elimination programs
Inventory management culture was improved, and better controls put on the procurement processes
Implemented SAP B1 in the company and successfully migrated from Microsoft Navision in October 2019. This enabled massive improvement in controls and risk management for the company
LEAN factory layout for the plant was completed in line with KAIZEN principles in 2019

KPI based system for tracking performance was implemented right down to the machine operator level

Overall operational responsibility for the service centre in Ontario reporting to the owners based in Montreal. Products were wide flange beams and hollow sections, cut to length and plasma cut.

Steered and delivered cost reduction projects that led substantial trimming of annual costs of approx. $ 300K.
Delivered excellent customer service and accomplished 97% On time in full (OTIF).
OEE was improved from 68% to 75% for the year by improved focus on equipment maintenance
Reduced operating expenses by 8% through better maintenance practises and working with high quality spares/contractors; decreased overtime through better shift management.
Led sales team to improve volumes from 1600 metric tons to 2100 metric tons monthly
Alternate cheaper sourcing of steel from the middle east, as against US suppliers was also implemented
Dymin operationally broke even in 2017 for the first time in 10 years and declared salary revisions as result of same.
