DOE Los Alamos Lab 2019 - 2020
Facilitated the planning and development of the Integrated schedule in P6 for a weapons development project. This includes detailing out the R&D phase, fabrication of the test vessel, facility improvements, explosive testing range, and qualification of the test results. Estimated the project manufacturing costs and resource allocation.

Planner/Scheduler: Responsible for the development of detailed job plans, turnaround schedule development, schedule tracking and updating for capitol and maintenance projects for Power, Oil and Manufacturing industries. Develop job plan packages with resources and durations loaded for the work. Anticipates problems, develops innovative solutions and ensures solutions are consistent with organizational objectives. Perform site and system walk-downs to verify job plan packages, identify special equipment and tool requirements. Identify safety, environmental and permitting requirements. Lead Scheduler: The detailed integrated master program schedule (IMS) was developed for the program and broken down by project, budget, resource and risk in the cost control system. Verify the correct scope of work is reflected in all schedules. Review schedule data and identify and missing information needed to complete work logic. Project schedules were developed and integrated into the IMS. WBS count ran from 450 to 9400 activities per schedule. Each activity was cost & resource loaded. Schedule updates were performed weekly and monthly including impacts analysis and updating budgets. The schedule critical-path activities were analyzed for deviation and recommended corrective action/workaround solutions. Summary schedules with Hammocks, S curve. Performed CPI/SPI calculations using Earned Value (EVMS). Schedule and cost reports were developed monthly for executive committee review.
Cost Control Lead: Developed and managed the Cost Control system including scope definition requirements, control plans and detailed staffing utilization plans. Developed progressing verification system based upon field daily reported quantities and ROC per commodity. Uploaded data into the owners tracking system and reported performance and progress weekly. Performed data analysis, PF and progress analysis, identified problems and made recommendations to improve PF. Prepare detailed reports to the program management team outlying schedule impacts, trends, change orders, claims, procurement escalation, material delivery delays, EVMS metrics and updated risk analysis with options to mitigate impacts. Chief Estimator: Responsible for estimating and negotiating of commercial, industrial and public works projects. Estimating services included conceptual estimates, construction estimates, change order estimates, value engineering and constructability review services. Projects include power plants, oil refining and pipelines, chemical manufacturing, electrical transmission and distribution, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, tenant improvements to commercial and industrial buildings, health care and nursing home, and technology facilities.
Senior Scheduler & Cost Controls Manager: Responsible for the development and updating of the schedules for each project. Each activity was cost & resource loaded. Updates were performed weekly and monthly including impacts analysis and updating budgets. Progress payments and production reports were developed for processing monthly.
Construction Manager: Managed the design and construction of 38 projects ranging in size from $250,000 to $148 million. Projects included pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, highways, bridges and commercial buildings. Hired and managed the activities of a staff of 10 that utilized management systems and interfaced with county, state and federal agencies to successfully complete the capital improvement program while minimizing impacts to the public. Projects included golf course and clubhouse, wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, bridges, commercial buildings, and site developments for commercial and residential resorts.
