Dear hiring manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the full-time chiropractic position in Detroit, Michigan. I will be graduating this December with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. I will be graduating with honors as one of the top students in my class with a 3.98 GPA. Throughout the past several years I have had the opportunity to prepare for success as a Doctor of Chiropractic, a dream I have had since I was twelve. I attended Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan to complete my undergraduate degree in Pre-professional Kinesiology. Since I knew I wanted to pursue a career caring for individuals through Chiropractic treatment, I took the opportunity to work as a Chiropractic Assistant during my undergraduate degree. This further reassured my decision to pursue chiropractic and prepared me with the experience of chiropractic office flow including patient interaction, health history form completion, patient decompression setup and taking radiographs.
I have always considered myself a leader who understands the value of community. As soon as I began my studies for my Doctorate of Chiropractic, I started volunteering four hours weekly with sea turtle rehabilitation. Now that I am in clinic, I have switched my volunteer time to use my skill and knowledge of chiropractic by providing free treatment to homeless, sick and uninsured individuals on a weekly basis. I am also an intern in the rehabilitation suite in our clinic. I put in ten hours weekly to learn the Selective Functional Movement Assessment protocol and taking patients through this diagnostic procedure as well as rehabilitative exercises. I have also been studying McKenzie protocol and look to continue pursuing this certification upon graduation.
I am very excited to even think of this opportunity and look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Austin Voigt
