JOBS DESCRIPTION
Airfield Lighting and Powerplant Technician
Performs daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually preventive maintenance on DEGS
(Diesel Engine Generator Sets) checklist.
Performs Corrective maintenance on DEGS if engine/controls fails.
Submits monthly reports on DEGS fuel consumption, running hours and recorded power failures.
Energizing DEGS for warm-up/power failure purpose.
Transfer power from commercial to local (generator) if power failure occurs.
Monthly earth-resistance test of the facility.
Conducts Routine inspection on airfield lightings, proceed to runway and check on fixture’s status, energized or not.
Airfield lightings include (Runway edge elevated lights, Taxiway elevated lights, Runway/Taxiway inset lights, Threshold/Runway End inset lights, Precision Approach Path Indicator(PAPI) lights, Rotating beacon lights.
Submits Monthly reports on Airfield Lighting system.
Monitoring of powerplant and airfield lighting equipments while energized such as : DEGS and CCR (Constant Current Regulator for PAPI and Runway lights). TRAININGS, INTERNSHIP
