Working as Project Manager in GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited expansion project. It is the expansion of existing Airport. This IT-Passive project consists of 100KM of FO cable laying and 860KM of UTP cable laying. Acting as single point of contact for the client for any escalations / requirements. My responsibilities are as below:

Understanding the proposed solution and guide team to make them understand the scope and work clarity.

Approval of layout drawing (for FO + UTP Cable) of the entire project through consultant Optimetrix.

Understanding the HR requirements for the statutory documents for all engineers/ supervisors and third part vendors.

Understanding the documents part for supply billing / RA billing.

Building storage space for housing the materials during the project.

Force team to go through safety norms and deliver accident free result.

Meeting with different stake holders and submit project plan keeping in mind the target completion date and phase wise GoLive plan.

Follow up with SCM team for material outlook status and for onsite delivery.

Co-ordination with quality team, safety team & supervisors for the smooth onsite operation and also managing multiple vendors.

Onsite PAT conduct and getting closure signoff from client.

Job Description:

Worked as service engineer to extend maintenance support for voice system for Enterprise and PSU customers. Support to different range and make of PBXs like OKI(PSX, PMX, IDX,IOX, Newgen ), LG( Aria300, Aria1000 ), Avaya( Prologix, Definity, G3R). Responsibilities involved:

Get day to day call list from service coordinator and resolution of technical issues either by onsite presence or by remote login to the system, by dialup connectivity.

Escalation to service head for support in case of critical /unresolved issues

Update customer wise issue details and their resolution in the system.

Check for AMC due date of the assigned customers from system and inform service manager for sending invoice to customer.

1. Durgapur Steel Plant (Voice)

Project Summary: It was the expansion (2000 port) and up gradation of the existing 5000 port voice system along with integration of large no. of adjuncts. Nodes were scattered all across the plant area. Worked in this project both as Engineer as well as Project manager Major activities were-

Up gradation of existing CM4.0 to latest platform CM6.3

Replacement of all four existing servers by latest HP G9 server

UPS installation (20KVA) at all six nodes

FO laying for two new nodes to build the ring architecture.

Co-ordination with local BSNL for the new PRI links

Replacement old conference system by new Avaya conference unit (MX)

Implementation of billing system

Implementation of Voice & SMS broadcasting system (OEM: Telesoftlabs)

Implementation of complaint handling system (OEM: Telesoftlabs) Key Responsibilities were:

1. Getting all drawing approval from consultant (Mecon) 2. Getting inspection waiver for passive components from Mecon 3. Co-ordination between several departments of DSP-Telecom, Project & Purchase 4. Weekly review meeting with DSP & Consultant

5. Regular project update to all stake holders

6. Technical support to team members (L1 Engineer) for technical issues 7. Handling technical escalation calls with OEMs

2. bKash Limited – Dhaka, Bangladesh (CC)

Project Summary: It was the up gradation of 30 sitter call center to 120 sitters along with up gradation of all adjuncts (CM, CMS, Logger, Dialer, WFM, Reporting Module) and deployment of new PS application for agents and supervisors. It was the first CC application all across the world with almost all adjuncts in CM7.X environment. Executed this project as project manager. Major activities were -

Onsite Project Kick-off with all stakeholders [(bKash, Avaya, Simcomm, CSL(local partner), AGCPS, Telesoft]

Design compact and micro level project plan in consultation with all stakeholders.

Weekly review with all stakeholders

Onsite resource planning

Support to collection team for realization of supply & milestone payments

Technical escalation handling with internal team and OEMs.

Onsite arrangement for Admin & User training

Co-ordination for UAT

Proper planning ( along with roll back plan) for final migration

Effective execution and on time closure of the project 3. Tata Main Hospital (Data)

Project Summary: It was the expansion of Tata Steel’s LAN from their main IT building to this hospital, at Jamshedpur. Consisted of 600 nodes along with UTP & FO cabling all across the hospital premises. Worked in this project as primary engineer Major activities were -

Meeting and understanding the network from Tata Steel ITS team

Cabling for 800 nodes all across the Hospital

FO laying between main IT Server room and TMH

Co-ordination with client for FO route finalization, road cutting formalities. Digging etc.

Rack erection in all locations, mounting of all switches in rack and their configuration.

Trunking between AVAYA and CISCO switches

NMS installation and demonstration.

OTDR & LAN testing

Handling escalation calls ( both from customer end and OEM end) 4. Bihar State Wide Area Network – Patna - (Video) It was a project of Bihar Govt. through TCS, where all the districts, till block level was connected to State head quarter data center using IP back bone. Video network consisted of 40 nos. of Polycom endpoint – VSX700, 500 nos. of PVX and one MCU (Polycom make MGC+100). MCU got installed at SHQ Patna and all endpoints at district head quarters. PVX got installed in 532 nos. of workstations across WAN to do Video conferencing using their own desktop, over IP.

Worked as Primary engineer along with a team of three junior engineers to execute the entire Video conferencing project.

Key Responsibilities were -

Pre installation visit to all 40 locations & share check list/dependency list TCS.

Storage of materials in the central store, their tracking and transportation of respective items to each and every location, till block level.

Share daily project update to client and attend weekly meeting at SHQ

Resource allocation as per site readiness and as per priority list of Govt.

configuration of MCU, Gatekeeper & Recording server at SHQ Patna

Extension of all types of Technical support to the team members

Arrangement of location wise closure report from each and every site

Conduction of UAT with TCS & State Govt. prior to official GoLive

Support to finance team for getting mile stone payments

Conduct GoLive VC in presence Chief minister at SHQ and other ministers / District Magistrate in all other locations.

5. Landis & Gyr. Limited - (AV + Passive Data Cabling) Project Summary: It was AV deployment and passive cabling at Landis – Noida for their new campus. It consisted of data cabling for 2500 nodes and AV deployment for Board Room (20Pax), 16-Pax MR (2 nos.), 12Pax MR (8 nos.), 6-Pax MR (1 no.) 4-Pax MR (20 nos.). Along with shifting of 300 line Avaya EPABX (IP Office) from their old office to new office. Worked as Project Manager along with a team of four engineers. Key Responsibilities were -

Project kickoff with client, consultant and with all stakeholders.

Approval of shop drawing for each and every meeting room from consultant prior to start of actual onsite work.

Material Delivery follow up and collection supply payment after MVR formalities

Attendance of onsite weekly meeting ( between Landis-Consultant & all vendors)

Co ordination with multiple vendors for delivery, implementation, support etc.

Resource allocation and their optimum utilization

Escalation handling ( technical & Non technical)

Conduct UAT in presence of Landis & Consultant

Submission of Penta scanning report for all data nodes

Arrangement of onsite L1 training for client ( both for AV & Voice)

Collect project closure signoff, final bill certification from client and getting appreciation for all team members from Client.
