• Art Director responsible for creating both print and online deliverables for ad agencies in the Phoenix, AZ area: ON Advertising, Digital Air Strike, and Fabcom. Created logos, annual reports, websites, TV commercials, newsletters, digital assets, packaging, billboards and branding.

• I shot still photography on-site for clients, creating formal portraits, architectural and environmental shots to be used as creative assets. I handled all Lightroom and Photoshop processing of those images.

• Art Director responsible for creating 4 brands that fell under the parent company: TurcomUSA, UltimoValue, Arevo, and Mount-It!.

WESTSTAR TALK RADIO NETWORK CREATIVE DIRECTOR 7/2009 - 10/2011

• Creative Director for The Kim Komando Show & TVKim.com.

• I was responsible for the overall brand identification and design elements surrounding The Kim Komando Show. This involves design and production of the show’s website, newsletters, advertisements, books, and e-mail promotions for an online membership base of 10 million.

• Developed the look and functionality of TVKim.com an website/online broadcast which further promoted The Kim Komando Show.

THE BUMP MEDIA, INC. CREATIVE DIRECTOR 6/2007 - 10/2008

• Creative Director for a national brand magazine and website that dealt with the subject of Pregnancy.

• After coming on-board I re-designed the magazine, website, and all marketing tools. All none-camera ready advertisements, magazine production, FTP uploads, and press approvals, were my responsibility.

• I worked closely with the President and Vice President of the company on brainstorming ideas for future company growth.

GANNETT PACIFIC PUBLICATIONS SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER 4/2006 - 6/2007

• Senior Graphic Designer for six community magazines that are targeted in the greater Phoenix and Las Vegas areas. I was responsible for such titles as Scottsdale 101, Green Valley Magazine, Foothills Magazine, Summerlin Magazine, and Oro Valley Magazine.

• Responsibilities include the complete creative process for layout & design, cover concepts, photo direction and selection, and all pre-press PDF production including on-line approval.

GOLDEN ACORN CASINO SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER/MEDIA BUYER 3/2003 - 6/2005

• Serving as the Graphic Designer for the casino I developed and produced marketing materials for the Marketing Department. These included a monthly newsletter, print advertisements, website design, internal signage, flyers, brochures, posters, restaurant menus, and billboards.

• During my time at the casino I successful designed a branding campaign resulting in a 25% overall increase in new business. In addition, I also served as the Media Buyer. I worked closely with several radio, newspaper, magazine, billboard, and television representatives and negotiated for the best overall packages that would meet the casinos creative requirements and financial needs.

GANNETT/THE DESERT SUN ART DIRECTOR 1/2001 - 5/2002

• Art Director for Desert Magazine a 4-C glossy regional magazine serving the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley.

• I was responsible for the creative direction of four graphic designers and three in-house pre-press operators. Together we produced Desert Magazine monthly and the region’s Visitors Guide, also on a monthly basis. In addition, we also publish special promotional items for the following regional events on an annual basis: The Tennis Masters Series at Indian Wells, The Battle at Bighorn, The LPGA Nabisco Golf Tournament, The Palm Springs International Film Festival and The Bob Hope Classic Golf Tournament.

• Print cost evaluations, creative direction, color management along with overall design were all part of my responsibilities.

SAN DIEGO MUSEUM OF ART ART DIRECTOR 8/1998 - 12/2000

• Responsible for the branding of San Diego’s largest and oldest cultural institution.

• The curatorial team, education staff, program director, marketing team, store manager, membership department, events coordinator and museum director, all sought my design and creative direction on each marketing or promotion item that represented the museum.

• My duties included designing banners, title walls, didactics, labels, and signage within the galleries. As well, I designed the marketing collateral that supported the individual shows.
