To analyze, design, and implement enhancements on Safeway’s Online Shopping Website (shop.safeway.com) as requested by business.

The project involved the creation of a windows based system that automates the checking of negotiated airline fares entered into the Fare Expert System. It communicates with the Amadeus Selling Platform by using its ActiveX controls to extract the corresponding text stream then parse it using regular expressions. The extracted data is then matched against a Fare sheet file in CSV format. An Excel file is generated to report the discrepancies. I did the requirements gathering, analysis, and high-level and detailed design using DFDs, ERDs, and mockup screens, and did the implementation as well.

The project involved setting up a portal that will allow kids to setup their own online store. Registered shoppers would just click on any product from any store and place it in their shopping cart. The items bought will be automatically debited either from a dummy account for try-out users or from a credit card account.
