Worked on deputation as Hull Plan Approval Engineer at ABS. Scope of work

involved mainly performing complete design assessment complying with Classification Rules, SOLAS, SPS Code,MODU Code, Load Lines, COLREG and other Regulatory affairs affecting the structural safety of various kinds of vessels. It also included coordinating with Ship Owners/Managers and field surveyors on the routine queries

Stability calculation of Bulk Carriers and Oil Tankers .Modelling the vessels in GHS and calculating Intact & Damage (Probabilistic & Deterministic) stabilities and approving stability documents.

Computation of freeboards for the new construction vessels and approval of the Load Line/Freeboard Plan. Verification of the Condition of assignment of Load Lines and freeboard computation for vessels taken into class. Computing Tonnage and issuing Tonnage certificates.
