Developed requirements for the F-Interface (GUI-GUI) between SC and SNMS element management systems..

Developed provisioning requirements for the AM1PLUS multiplexer so that User Interface suffered minimal churn.

AT&T BELL LABS, Middletown, NJ

BCS Maintenance Planning Department

Responsible for Performance Engineering and Load Specifications for the new BCS Maintenance Platform (BMP)

Developed user-behavior model for predicting BMP loads over the center busy hours so that load and soak tests could be driven realistically.

Visual Communications Networking Department

Responsible for the planning of Cross-Product Features and Network interfaces for Video Endpoints.

Developed circuit-switched-data and voice call scenarios for PBX, SDS, SDDN and both desktop and group video endpoints.

Developed the network interface technical prospectus, which planned a sequence of new network interfaces for Visual Communication Products.

Coordinated the schedule and deliverables for 2 vendors of SW56 network interface PC cards.

Premises Systems Planning Department

Responsible for the coordination, planning and editing of the DEFINITY Technical Prospectus.

Developed base lining plans and author assignments for 19 authors so that G3V2 was launched on time.

Introduced Finite-Source ideas to switch engineering so that trunks can be engineered more accurately

Developed requirements for software-piracy protection and was granted a PATENT of PBX software copy protection so that AT&T could gain lost license revenue from PBXs sold on the secondary markets.

Worked closely with several account teams to position DEFINITY as a solution to a University’s needs.

System Management Planning Department

Responsible team leader for the development of the Operational Support System Plan of Record, a multiyear plan for the evolution of all GBCS System Management Adjuncts to the current Generic 3 era. Responsible team leader for Technical Prospectuses for Monitor I and Manager IV (CSM), the Traffic Management and Central Administration systems for all AT&T PBXs.

CSM Development Laboratory

Responsible for software engineering of CSM’s product-image database and detailed provisioning and sizing requirements.

Developed heuristic models for mapping customer needs into disk sizing and processor capacity rules for a range of UNIX processors: so that the minimal hardware could be configured online for the customer’s stated needs. The first 100 installations were sold in this way.

Led the development of size-sensitive pricing controls, so that software could be priced as a reasonable ratio with respect to total CSM price.

Responsible for detailed requirements on PBX Administration and Traffic Measurements.

Developed thresholding and default register assignments for the traffic monitoring of PBX facilities, so that laborious register assignments could be automated for traffic studies.
