Duties included System Engineering of commercial and industrial electrical power metering

products.

-Contributed to a multi-disciplined design team to bring the next generation of products to market.

-Worked with second and third tier partners to support and bring meters to market with their communication devices.

-Root cause analysis of problems discovered with residential and commercial electronic power meters during design and after field deployment.

-Introduced a design change that eliminated the root cause of significant number of field returns (~5%).

-Expanded engineering testing of meters to include testing for RF susceptibility.

Duties included performing the lead electrical design function for the implementation of Telematics products into automobiles.

-Successfully integrated and delivered the Lexus Link Telematics Safety/Security system into the 2002 Lexus flagship LS430.

-Created schematics for the design using Mentor Graphics schematic capture tool.

-Debugged system and subsystem failures and determined root cause and implemented correct action to improve product quality.

-Awarded a U.S. Patent related to a load dump protection circuit.

-Introduced a backup battery for an automotive sub-system.

-Developed, with cooperation of test equipment suppliers, new test equipment components (audio analyzers, RF generators).

-Provided test equipment for prototype and production builds to ensure high quality of the outgoing product.

-Performed capability studies on test equipment prior to the implementation of test equipment into production to ensure the equipment was optimized for production.
