Energy Clinician, Vermont Law School - Energy Clinic Sept 2019 – Present o Conducted state-by-state analysis of solar PV technology implementation viability on farmlands, comparing current state statutes and policies that would best apply using Microsoft Excel. o Conducted in-depth studies on statutes and policies to draft documents presenting state programs that have successfully implemented PV technology on farmland, that included Renewable Portfolio Standard, Net Metering, Agrivoltaics, Current Use Taxation and Permitting.
o Presented research and findings on state statutes and policies using Microsoft PowerPoint to audiences of 12 to 20 students and faculty.
o Conducted conference calls with renewable energy clients and state representatives of the Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture and Public Utility Commission to research and verify state statutes as well as learn about what ongoing state renewable energy developments are actively doing in the industry. States worked with included Michigan, Oregon, and Washington.
Energy Management Intern, Faith Technologies, Energy Management Dept. May 2018 – Aug 2018 o Gathered building layout data (electrical, mechanical, steam, etc.) on Excel & Power BI to assess energy usage trends and identify ways to reduce costs through peak shifting to reduce energy rates. o Conducted on-site data assessments to determine opportunities for increased energy efficiency. o Arranged and led client meetings regarding clients’ goals and opportunities to add renewable energy or improve their energy efficiency measures.
o Analyzed data and researched new products in the market to draft proposals for clients to achieve greater energy efficiency on the commercial level.
Solar Install Assistant, Timmerman Talents Sept 2017 – Nov 2017 o Constructed wooden and steel frame and roof mounts designs for solar panels o Installed custom solar projects ranging in size from 3 kW to 15 kW. o Identified ideal site locations based on solar array design and how to gauge the best location for optimal sun exposure. o Performed all aspects of installation, including painting, digging holes for foundation work, installing framework for solar panel mounts, and operating power tools.
Engineering Intern, Ashley Furniture, Engineering Dept. 2016-2017 o Analyzed assembly line workflow with lead Industrial Engineer to identify areas of lost production and collect data for the engineer to create a report with solutions on how to reduce losses and make the assembly line more efficient. o Completed 24 design projects over the course of the internship communication with assembly line workers, engineers, and line supervisors. Projects involved building custom designs using SolidWorks Modeling and then building prototype designs that involved welding, milling, and finally installing with power tools. o Operated manlifts, forklifts, and scissor lifts for projects throughout the plant to remove machinery from the plant or to mount equipment to the ceiling for custom projects.
o Worked with manufacturing and industrial engineers under strict guidance of following OSHA safety protocols SKILLS
