Immigration Enforcement Agent, 1801
In this position, I perform various duties and task in connection with locating and apprehending illegal aliens consisting of Adults /Children Unaccompanied children and Family Units, who have entered or remained in the United States in violation of Immigration Laws. I also provide for the care, control and removal of these aliens of criminal and non-criminal aliens who have been ordered removed by an Immigration Judge, such as final order of removals. I conduct person to person interviews with suspected aliens and establish alienage, gather facts and evidence, write reports and give oral testimony under oath in all courts of law. Other duties consist of screening and reviewing alien case files and coordinate oral and telephonic interviews between consulates and detainee's, keep and maintain excellent working relationships with Foreign Consulates and Embassies to facilitate the timely issuance of Passports and Travel Documents needed for such removals. Added duties consist of serving warrants of arrest, deportation and orders to show cause to those detained in service and non-service detention facilities. Querying information in (EARMS) Enforce Removable Aliens Module, and retrieve information concerning booking, data changes, in order to maintain accurate data concerning booking records of detainees, Final Orders, Hearings, Asylum Hearings, Credible Fear, Transfers and Check detainees Post Custody Review status. Conduct background criminal history checks utilizing the Treasury Enforcement System (TECS). Also query and create A-files and prepare all forms and booking procedures in the Enforce data base. Escort aliens in custody status, in the U.S. and to Foreign Countries aboard Commercial Airlines once their deportation exclusion orders are issued, act or assist Airlines Security while assigned on such escorts.
Transport: and take custody of aliens confined to Jails, Prisons, Medical Institution, ETC., who have been remanded to the service for removal proceedings. Transport large groups of detainees using service buses and vehicles, assist in the maintenance of service fleet vehicles.
