Participated in sample collecting for maintenance of and improvements to distribution system water quality. She performed field sampling to locate potential disinfectant blending zones and distribution system nitrification. She created and prepared maps to outline the potentially impacted sites using ArcGIS and its tools. Performed chlorination capacity assessments for five of the City’s seven repump stations and developed documentation summarizing findings.

She performed data extraction from USGS and TCEQ for Water Quality Project for Lake Houston. She processed and formatted water quality data and performed regression analysis using USGS LOADEST software. LOADEST outputs were processed to develop inputs for three-dimensional water quality modeling.

Integrated Utility Master Planning and Financial Planning, City of Richmond, Texas.

She participated in overseeing and analyzing to water, wastewater, and reclaimed water master planning data for the City. This project sought to plan future population and water demand for the City’s rapidly developing service area. Corrosion Control Study Update, City of Rosenberg, Texas.

Ms. Dhruv monitored analytics and metrics results to develop guided resource regarding customer complaints documentation and a customer notification regarding the City’s conversion from free chlorine to chloramine disinfection. Implemented new data analysis methodologies to report quality assurance and quality control. She formulated a strategy for assessing the required data.

Distribution System Blending and Water Quality Management, North Harris County Regional Water Authority, Houston, Texas.

As part of this multi-faceted water quality management study, she assisted in documenting existing and planned system operations and associated impacts on water quality, conducted a detailed water quality assessment for two future whole customers, and developed guidance for future wholesale customers regarding preparation of their distribution systems to receive surface water, customer complaint documentation, and optimized corrosion control. She prepared project submittals, compiled the final project report, and performed quality assurance reviews.

BAWA Surface Water Treatment Plant Chemical Feed Improvements City of Baytown, Baytown, Texas.

She aided in the development of a report cataloguing condition assessment of the various chemical feed systems at the 26 million gallon per day surface water treatment plant and recommendations for improvements. Additionally, helped in developing a sampling plan to assess the origin, fate, and transport of metals through the City’s water and wastewater systems. Benchmarking Study, City of Pearland, Texas. She carried out research on similar cities, to identify the strength and opportunities for the city under benchmarking. A direct comparison of staffing for water utility and wastewater utility to assist and support the city for Surface water planning, as the city plans to build a surface water. She underwent a thorough research under the guidance of the Team and 2018 AWWA Utility Benchmarking. She was able to collect, analyze and review data on operations, water production, water distribution, pumping capacity, water quality data. Data were normalized to develop performance metrics to facilitate direct comparison of utility staffing levels.

WASTEWATER

Sugar Land North WWTP Evaluation, Sugar Land, Texas. This project calls for flow projections. Daily Monitoring reports was collected the effluent flow and 2-hour peak flows data was provided. Based on that clean the data, transforming the data to its needed form, she was able to identify the peak factor utilizing Data analysis under Microsoft Excel. A logical use of Rank and percentile analysis helped to classify the data range into categories. Ratios of effluent flow to peaking hour flow aided to extract factors for the further decision-making process. This project was under Keith O'Connor, a Project Manager.

PAVING AND DRAINAGE

Holderrieth Road Segment 3, Harris County Engineering Department, Texas.

She was involved in preparing, creating project exhibits in ArcGIS. Prepared documents (maps) proposed project drainage design for improvements. Performed storm sewer design for paving and drainage project. Convert gathered data into GIS database with proper and accurate spatial location. Assure consistency with company- wide standards and practices for data conversion, data maintenance and upgrades. Utilize GIS for analysis of spatial data, perform routine analyses optimizing use of various company data sets, and perform limited research using government or other outside sources as directed by supervisor to support engineering and operation needs.
