Henry Mayo Hospital

Patient Placement Coordinator (LVN) Valencia, California September 2019-Current

As a Patient placement coordinator with my clinical experience I place patients on floors based on their diagnoses and health status. Accordingly to MD orders for example, patient needs chemo, they would be on a tele oncology floor. It's my responsibility to coordinate patients to floors depending on their status and diagnose. As placing patients in the ER, I also place post op patients based on their type of surgery. I prioritize patients when it comes to who needs to be on the floor first based on their status. Along with placing new patients in beds I also downgrade patients based on MD orders, for example a patient is in ICU she is being downgraded to MS Tele, due to MD orders.
