Implementation Consultant

Travel 100% to multiple new Fed Ex Supply Chain startup locations to support local operations. Work closely with on site management, personnel, and customers to assist in successful new account transition. Train and develop employees to follow standard operating procedures, including quality, accuracy, and efficiency standards across all shifts.

Provide objective operational analysis of the business, scope projects where applicable, and ensure best practices are implemented throughout the organization.

DART LOGISTICS / GE Appliances – Grand Prairie, TX – 2005-2018

General Manager

Recruited and hired to oversee all functions within a 700K+ sq. ft., $50M facility for GE Appliances (Fortune 50 corporation). Led, trained, and coached team of 100+ employees. Managed $35M+ of inventory (calculating to over 200K equivalent unit storage capacity), with over 40 material handling lifts. Monitored the workload involved with the facility receiving and shipping 600+ trucks per week.

Work jointly with large carrier base to procure empty trailers for all outbound shipments. Conduct weekly QMI conference calls to deliver operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Oversaw a full-scale transformation for the operation from 2005 to 2018, including establishing basic Excel productivity tracking (w/ hours paid vs. units handled per associate) and removing over 30% of operators who were performing below standard. Reduced year-over-year costs by $80K+ as a result.

Supported integration of IDS system that incorporated serialized inventory system with tracking by location and operator. Additionally, supported network establishment of SOPs across all job functions as well as standard production measurements by operator and work type.

Led the organization to 6 consecutive years without a lost-time accident, including EHS, CTPAT, and operator safety measurements.

Established and maintained a 99.999% inventory accuracy record through cycle counting and the elimination of the annual physical inventory process.

Designed and developed a new, 700K sq. ft. building as part of a 2-year project; additionally, participated in moving facilities in 2.5 days.

Increased velocity slotting accuracy from 70% to 95% as well as cross-docking from 3% to 10% and interleaving from 7% to 15%. Assisted in moving production from the 600s to 700+ pieces per hour.

EXEL / WAL-MART TIRE DISTRIBUTION CENTER – Dallas, TX – 2001-2004

General Manager (2002-2004) Operations Manager (2001-2002)

Hired to serve as a Project Manager within a start-up Wal-Mart tire distribution center, recruiting and leading a team of 45 associates that included 3 supervisors. Oversaw all operational functions within a 402K sq. ft. building, supporting 113 Sam’s Club locations and 455 Wal-Mart stores with tires. Subsequently promoted to oversee 2 separate 3PL organizations, with a total team of 150 associates that included 2 managers and 4 supervisors. Managed dedicated fleet of 60 Swift trucks and drivers as well as 2 site forecasts, P&Ls, reconciliations, and commentaries.

Maintained an inventory accuracy rating of 99.97%. Created SOPs to standardize company policies on inventory accuracy and built a QA department that ensured the highest level of quality assurance.

WEBLINK WIRELESS – Dallas, TX – 1997-2001

Inventory Control Manager

Managed $17M in inventory and supervised team of 4 direct reports, with responsibility for 25 retail sites. Oversaw GL inventory balance utilizing Oracle system. In charge of all SOPs directly related to corporate inventory policy.
