A design professional with 25 years of industry experience focused on global workplace design. Over the last 15 years, I have developed and executed strategies on behalf of global energy corporations for workplace design and space & portfolio management. In future, my knowledge and experience in workplace strategy; architectural design; space planning & management; and construction & project management will help an organization achieve the best outcomes in planning, execution and day to day operations of their real estate portfolio.

Workplace Strategy & Design Manager

February 2016 to Present

Strategy – Develop space strategies/scenarios for growth, reductions, IMT incidence, projects, and operational space with the Business Planning Team. Review and recommend furniture options to help drive sustainable decisions while maintaining vendor and consultant relationships. Keep a pulse on space, furniture and technology trends in the industry.

Design/Planning – Work with internal and external clients on programs and schematic space designs. Manage standards and guideline for space and furniture. Work with the client, consultants and project team to review and monitor thru the project lifecycle.

Space Allocation and Management – Manage space allocations and utilization for the BP real estate portfolio at Westlake Campus (1,3 Million USF) with the CAFM team. Manage the Serraview CAFM platform for multiple sites in North America and Trinidad and Tobago.

BP Group Real Estate – Develop test-fits, area calculation and multi-tenant scenarios for prospective sub-lease tenants for BP’s currently leased properties.

Branding/Signage – Develop and implement cost savings methods for the creation, procurement and the installation of BP branding and graphics in conjunction with WPM and BP Comms.

Team Management – Led a team of 10 professionals by implementing engagement initiatives, recommended learning and development opportunities, engaging and coaching, providing time management strategies. Met teams yearly KPI’s in the areas of assigned training completion; Safety Observation Conversations (SOP’s) and Cost Saving and Avoidance of $750K over a 3-year period in more efficient design and self-performing branding. Schematic design – Design and implemented 30-40 office renovation and consolidation projects in Halliburton’s global portfolio ranging from 5KSF to 300K SF.

Project Audits – project process and document audits. Competency Evaluations – Conduct industry mandated personnel training and audits.

Portfolio Documentation – develop a single page project portfolio for completed projects.

Workplace Design and Strategy – Worked on multiple office consolidation and renovation projects in the Western and Eastern Hemisphere. The projects ranged from 1,500SF to 300,000SF.

MPL Space Planning and Mgmt. – Managed planning and allocations of space for Halliburton’s Major Property Locations (MPL) in North America, 3.4 million square feet over 163 buildings in 4 locations. Monthly Allocations Billing – Managed team responsible for monthly allocations billing for Halliburton globally.

MAC - Team – Managed a Moves-Adds-Changes team at local campus that worked on furniture changes and day to day moves.

Workplace Strategy – Develop new workplace strategy in conjunction with user and A\E. The standardization of design helped to improve efficiency of process which in turn helped productivity and reduction in cost. Project Management – Managed the pilot project and various other interior projects in Halliburton’s global portfolio.

Design and CAD Support – Provide team with quick turn a round by providing design and drawing support in-house for space reconfigurations that did not require permitting.

Project Management – Managed several projects of various sizes from

“cradle to grave” using different contracting methodologies. The steps included Initial planning and budget development; RFP/RFQ process to identify the architect/consultant; Contracting, managing design process; Managing the public bid and bid evaluation; Contracting; Construction Administration and Project closeout and handover.

Disaster Recovery – Worked on multiple projects with FEMA during the Tropical Storm Allison recovery and rebuild efforts. PDG ARCHITECTS

Contract Project Management – Managed various projects for the University of Houston and USPS.

Tenant Finish Projects – Worked with multiple landlords as in-house architect for buildings in the Houston commercial office market. Provided clients with programming, schematic design, design development, CD’s and construction administration.

Building Documentation – Measured and documented multiple federal buildings for GSA in North America.
