Responsibilities include patient care visits for routine colonoscopy screenings, office visits for the management of GERD, IBD, IBS, and abdominal pain. Seeing 20-25 patients per day.
7/2017- 9/2018: Sumter County Detention Center
PRN APRN employee while employed full time at Inverness Care Center. Responsibilities included care for an incarcerated population ranging from juvenile to the elderly. Responsible for managing chronic illnesses; HTN, CKD, Diabetes, HIV, as well as gynecological issues, gynecological exams, STD treatment, and emergent situations.

8/2016-present: Florida Department of Corrections (Centurion Services).
Current practice as an APRN with a caseload of 20-25 patients per day. This
includes care for chronic illnesses; diabetes, HTN, CKD, HIV, hyperlipidemia, and
anemia. Also handles infirmary admissions, length of stay treatment and
discharges. Sick call referral and well women examinations.
2014-8/2016: Clinical Medical Contract Monitor, Florida Department of Corrections. Duties include auditing of medical departments via comprehensive review of medical records throughout Florida’s correctional institutions to ensure quality of care is being performed in accordance with regulatory and departmental standards as well as providing nursing leadership and consultation for on-sight programs and staff training.
2012-2014: Senior Director of Nursing, Sumter Correctional Institution- DOC
Duties included accountability for the promotion and timely delineation of
healthcare to 1800 inmates ranging in ages from 14-94 years old. This included staff
supervision, collaboration with the chief health officer and Warden of the institution.
Hiring, staffing, training, and ongoing education for staff that I supervised. Provide nursing
assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients within a prison
population.
2009-2012: Senior Registered Nurse, Sumter Correctional Institution, DOC
Duties included charge RN for a 14 bed infirmary, patient flow for
physician clinics/nursing tuberculosis clinic/immunization clinics, staffing, and monthly
quality management reports. In addition, daily sick call performed with delineation of
treatment for urgent, non-emergent, and emergent cases.
2008-2009: RN Case Manager, Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center.
Duties included
implementation and comprehensive review of all inpatient records to qualify for
hospitalization and length of stay.
