Consulting Solutions Architect

Played a key role in Presales by delivering Enterprise Solutions to global customers to address customers’ technology and business challenges. This include design, development and performance monitoring and testing for the solutions delivered.

• Architected, built and tuned a 4 node Oracle RAC database with 2-node VMware cluster on Converged Infrastructure for performance bake off. VMware cluster is used for provisioning App and Web servers. As a result of completing this architecture, Dell was able to replace the existing vendor with a

$1.5 M contract.

• Architected and build a multi-tenant cloud environment using VMware vCloud Director. The environments were created in virtual private networks that allowed prospective Customers full evaluative capabilities of multiple Dell Products. This solution reduced the need to have sales and technology centers needed worldwide.

• Architected and build environment for a Payment processing corporation showcasing backup and recovery solutions for multi-terabyte Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and VMware environments. Oracle 12c on Redhat Linux 6 sized at 100 TB, DB2 EEE on Redhat Linux 6 sized at 100 TB, SQLServer 2016 with encrypted database sized at 10 TB, and 4-node VMware vCenter 6.x environment with 50 VMs of 100 GB size each. The successful completion of this Proof allowed Dell to introduce the same solution to similar Payment processing companies.

• Architected environment for performance validation of enterprise workload of Fortune 100 SaaS provider. Environment consists of enterprise storage and Redhat Linux. Customer was able to evaluate the performance capability of the solution without providing their application.

use S3 on prem, without altering their public cloud strategy.

• Installed and Administered 4-node Kubernetes Cluster on VMware Virtual Machines. Kubernetes cluster consisting of multiple deployments with Oracle, SQLServer, web and app servers. K8S cluster used for quick provisioning of customer facing environments. This initiative reduced environment build time by up to 50% allowing for more customer interactions.

• Installed and Administered Avamar and Networker, creating a backup and recovery solution for Cloud based environments using deduplication, providing excellent performance and capacity benefits.

• Architected backup solution using ProtectPoint to backup data directly from storage array to Data domain. This freed up host and vSphere server cycles, producing massive backup and restore speeds.

• Architected Recover Point solution for Enterprise Cloud and Oracle database environments. Recover Point creates multiple snapshots per second. Snapshots are copied to a HA or DR site to be available for recovery. This solution allowed for application consistent recovery across a group of applications. EMC 8/2012 to 10/2016

Consulting Solutions Engineer

Architected, developed and implemented Enterprise solutions to global customers highlighting the strength and portfolio of EMC hardware and software solutions to Enterprise customers.

• Architected and Build distributed systems using VPlex Metro with VMware cluster on two sites. Oracle RAC database installed on all nodes on both sites. This allows all nodes to participate in customer workload, without any idle standby capacity. Unlike other solutions, cross over Fiber channel connections were not used to facilitate multisite Oracle RAC. L2 network was stretched across both sites using VMware NSX to facilitate Oracle RAC node communication.

• Architected DSSD in memory storage array based Solution to install Oracle database. Created benchmark environment to validate the performance characteristics. This solution was used for Database and regular applications to provide throughput of millions of IOPS.

• High Performance backup and restore solution. Solution involves backing up and restore of Physical and Virtual Oracle and SQL Server databases using source and target dedup and compression over dedicated network with very little impact to production.

• Implemented T10Dif checksum for Oracle databases for an Enterprise customer. T10Dif performs a checksum validation before and after a write to ensure database consistency of all blocks. This checksum is offloaded to the storage array ensuring that the database is always checksum consistent.

• Performed Backup and Recovery solution for 3-node Hadoop cluster on NetApp storage array. Avamar Backup solution allows for VM level storage agnostic deduplicated backup, providing capacity and performance savings.

• Created HP Load Runner 11.5 automation scripts to perform evaluation of SAP environments under user load of varying workloads with a max of 500 users.

• Architected Disaster Recovery solution of enterprise SAP Production site involving multiple instances of SAP. Federated disaster recovery solution made it possible to ensure that all SAP environments were consistent with each other. RPO of 30 seconds or less, and RTO of few minutes.

• Administered Virtualized SAP environments using SAP LVM. Landscape Virtualization Manager was used to maintain SAP cloud environments and provide copies for Test/Dev/QA. Implemented Storage based cloning to eliminate clone and copy times.

• Migrated physical SAP environments to Virtual environments. SAP Environments on various Unix. platforms AIX, HP-UX and Solaris were migrated to Cloud environments

• Lead architect to migrate datacenter from on prem to shared datacenter to prepare for Cloud workload consumption model. Shared service model used as customer reference site to identify and document processes and policies involved with Cloud migration. EMC 3/2005 to 8/2009
