Registered as a Civil Engineer with the Nigerian society of engineers (NSE) and the Council for the Regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Has over 10 years experience in Civil Infrastructure Design, Construction, Maintenance and Supervision. Has vast knowledge of complementary disciplines such as process, safety, instrumentation, electrical and mechanical engineering.

Possess conceptual innovative thinking with technical, analytical and commercial business skills. I have successfully managed several SPDC (Civil Infrastructure) Engineering Projects in the Niger Delta Operational Area.

Vast experience has been acquired in project management with emphasis on Contracting, organizing personnel and allocation of resources (men material and money). Projects executed have been mostly within targeted cost and time, and in line with Contract Management Guide (CMG) as well as in compliance with Shell Design and Engineering Practices and SPDC Construction Specification & HSE Standards.

1.SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (SPDC)

Civil/Structural Engineer (Roads, Bridges & Shore Protection) 2015 till date

Projects Executed:

oEscravos Beach Road Shore Protection (Cost $2.7mln)

o Construction of Ayama 1.2km Community Access Road (Cost $480k)

oConstruction of Koroama 30m span TBUR/TBUV Bridge, Approach and Access Road (Cost $2.2mln)/Str

oApara 10 Borrow Reclamation Pilot Project (Cost $1.8mln)

oReconstruction of 8.2KM Iseni Drilling Location Access Road (Approx. Cost USD3.6mln)

Key Responsibilities:

Conceptual Design, Selection, Management as well as Supervision of the Construction and Rehabilitation of SPDC Civil Infrastructure facilities (such as Roads, Bridges, Piling, Shore Protection, etc.) in the Niger Delta Operational Area.

Initiating, Planning, Managing and Supervising of Engineering Projects

Initiating, Planning, Packaging and Managing Contracts for the execution of the projects.

Preparing feasibility studies and detailed Estimate (Cost, time, material and labour estimates for each Project.

Prepare detailed Work Scope, Tender Strategy and Tender Documents for Contracts to be used to execute the projects.

Conduct Tender exercise and recommend contract award for project execution.

Coordinated a multi disciplinary team of safety, quality, security, external relations of approx. 30 persons.

Conduct Pre-mobilisation Inspection exercise with successful contractor and Mobilise contractor to site prior to work commencement.

Supervise Project execution to completion and ensure high Quality Control/ Quality Assurance standards as well as high Safety performance in the course of Project execution

Ensured that SPDC HSE Policies and Standards are fully adhered to by the contractors.

Conduct periodic project performance (progress and financial) reporting /presentation to Stake Holders.

Managing Budgetary and Financial performance of the projects

Managing Interface with Co-departments, Joint Venture (JV) partners, Government agencies and host community.

Foster HSE awareness to ensure these aspects are properly considered and integrated in the design of the Civil Projects.

Achievements/ Highlights:

The major challenge (such as security; community agitation, kidnapping, finance/cashflow, etc.) militating against timely delivery of Oil & Gas projects in Niger Delta area was mitigated through effective project management by early community / stakeholder engagement; provision of adequate security cover; deployment of additional crew & milestone breakdown payment.

Thereby, ensuring successfully completion of most projects within targeted cost/budget and on schedule.

Projects completed are of good quality, safe for use, timely delivered and without any Lost Time Due to Injuries (LTIs)

Project Engineer (Swamp Location Preparation – Dredging) 2014 - 2015

Projects Executed:

Opukushi FOD (Cost USD1.4mln)

Beneside ECTX 1, 2 & 3 well slots (Cost USD1.95mln)

Akano well slots 1, 2 & 3 (Cost approx. USD1.23mln)

Key Responsibilities

Direct and oversee construction projects from concept stage to commissioning while monitoring compliance with safety and government regulations.

Coordinated a multi disciplinary team of subcontractors, SPDC Safety, quality, security, external relations of approx. 40 persons.

Coordinate subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual conditions of performance.

Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.

Negotiate agreement terms, manage construction contract drafts, bid on projects, and obtain permits to analyze and mitigate risks.

Communicate with the responsible parties to ensure quality construction exceeds company standards and proper industry techniques and processes are utilized, while ensuring the client’s needs and wants are efficiently met.

Review projects daily to ensure quality construction standards exist and estimates remain within budget.

Supervise construction projects to ensure they are completed on time and exceed the customer’s requirements.

Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process from hiring contractors to working with engineers, architects, and vendors.

Prepare close-out packages according to specifications.

Responsible for Reviewing and Approving required project documents i.e. work method statement, Work programs, HSE-MS plan, Site Specific Security plan, Job Hazard Analysis, Journey management plans submitted by contractors

Conduct routine HSE stop- at- 10 audits and ensure that actions from audits are closed out and close-out report documented.

Responsible for ensuring the Permit to work (PTW) systems and the concurrent operations are properly implemented on site including daily site revalidation of PTW.

Responsible for designing, scoping and providing cost estimates for location layout and slots.

The dredging works were carried out during the campaign to reduce land take for new wells or clusters. In other to overcome this challenge, the Opukushi FOD and Beneside well slots were re-designed within the existing land acquisition, while maintaining minimum separation distance to allow concurrent operation of the new construction and the existing wells. These eventually reduced the proposed land take by 55%.

Field Engineer (H-Block Project) Approx. 2013- 2014

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for carrying out and coordinating with the geotechnical team in carrying out geotechnical surveys, analysing and processing of field data and drawing up of preliminary and final reports.

Responsible for coordinating the sand search exploration exercise in the Belema area community where the field Logistics base (FLB) is to be cited.

Team member coordinating with the Met-ocean and Geophysical survey offshore team in locating and citing where the platforms and its ancillary components (topsides) are to be erected.

Preparation and submission of technical reports to head department.

Achievements:

High level of safety implementation throughout project execution phase

Successful completion of the design of the H-Block Project (FLB).

QA/QC Engineer H-Block Project Approx.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that preventative actions are implemented, and corrective actions are taken within area of responsibility.

Responsible for maintaining ISO requirements at the site.

Work closely with management to ensure established training requirements are fulfilled.

Responsible for preparing quality checklist and undertaking internal and external Audits.

QA/QC Engineer responsible for quality assurance for the construction of deep foundations for Belema Field Logistic Base (FLB), Sand search and sand filing operations.

Liaised and conferred with senior engineers to develop a quality assurance plan, Inspection and Test Plans, for construction of pile foundations for Belema FLB. Key facilities included housing units, recreational centres, medical centres, cafeteria etc.

Developed quality checklists for monitoring quality of piles, installation, concrete & steel works and sand filling.

Developed, in conjunction with senior engineers and the geomatics team, the sand search and construction work method statements for the Sand search operations.

Conducted Static Pile Load compression test on 3 working piles and one Test pile using the Kentledge reaction system.

Examined pre-stressed piles, Steel pile casings and precast concrete piles to ensure that physical properties align with specifications. Marked off and rejected piles that did not meet the required specifications

Ensured that piles were installed within specified tolerance limits and non-conformance reports issued for piles falling

Monitored quality of all works on site using relevant in-situ & laboratory quality control test.
