Scrum Master who has successfully developing a mindset shift in his project teams to ensure project delivers business value; teams became enthusiastic in Agile processes, consistently over-delivering.

As a Scrum Master have Coached my own and other Agile Teams in to define their Way of Working (WOW) using either Scrum, Kanban, or Lean methodologies.

Scrum Master who led teams to execute the project inception phase and gather necessary requirements to effectively story map the project deliverables and determine themes, epics and story’s/tasks, and releases that would be needed.

Scrum Master for a large data projects which was delivered ahead of schedule (2 months) with a low number of defects (less than 4%) and 20% under budget.

Turned around a struggling Agile team who were consistently not delivering on their agreed plan delivering was low quality work. Provided them with additional training and introduced them to use “Agile Best Practices” which they adopted and were then able to deliver Business Value to a high quality on a consistent basis.

A JIRA Agile tool super user who taught users how to efficiently use JIRA Agile toolset; also introduced the JIRA Portfolio tool which is a more advanced way to use JIRA and drive story mapping for project which made a big difference in helping to develop the Project Roadmap for when functionality would be delivered to the business.

§Scrum Master for 30+ Agile projects using a variety of Agile methodologies (Agile Scrum, Kanban or Lean) and delivered the requested business value whilst ensuring quality was a key Agile project deliverable; example projects include:

§Scrum Master for a digital transformation project, refreshing existing web footprint to include new exiting product offerings which enabled customer to subscribe to funds electronically via the corporate website.

§Led a major Data Analytics project whose objective was to provide dynamic point in time data on the ROI for Institutional Investor Mutual funds. This project involved many SVP’s, EVP’s and VP’s in its decision-making process. The project was successfully delivered 2 months ahead of schedule and $230k below budget with zero defects.

§ Successfully delivered change to move a team from a project to a product solution using Flow Management and Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD).

§Managed many FINTRAC Regulatory projects to ensure the organization is compliant to all industry regulations whilst using good Agile methodologies best practices.

§Introduced various Agile toolsets to assist with delivering Agile projects JIRA, JIRA Portfolio, Story Mapping, Retrospectives, Collaboration tools.

§As a Scrum Master developed unique Agile metrics that enabled evaluation on how well the team was progressing toward the team’s business and technical objectives and delivering real value

§Scrum Master who drove the Quality First Agile mindset which enabled the project team to adopted true Agile principles, which resulted reducing project defects from 60-80 from previous projects they had worked on to only 6 low severity defects for this project.

§Scrum Master who managed multiple projects at the same time with teams that were a combination of co-located or geographically dispersed around the globe.

§Scrum Master who managed the Agile at Scale integration project that involved 15 supporting projects that were part of a strategical program delivering critical business and technical functionality. Managed the project releases within the Program Release Plan to ensure all interrelated projects released critical functionality at the agreed date with the required functionality.

§Working closely with cross-functional teams and resources to achieve program and project milestones within established timeframes.

§Conduct workshops for the decomposition of product Features into technical User Stories together with having a clear definition for the “Definition of Done” for the project.

Agile Coach

–Coached Teams on how to use Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) and the importance of creating an Acceptance Criteria so that a Quality solution was delivered to the customer.

–Coached the Mainframe systems team to move from the traditional waterfall release process and develop an Agile DevOps release which allowed Business Value to be delivered quickly and often.

–Major contributor to the development of the PMO Agile project funding model which was based on releases of MVP’s and MMP’s so that Business Value was delivered quickly.

–Agile Coach for the setting up the Scrum Master and Product Owners Community of Practice (COPs), provided guidance whenever needed for this self-organized, self-managed group so that they could improve their craftsmanship and exchange ideas between themselves

Responsibilities not only included Project Management but also managed our professional services personnel, including engagement staffing, staff performance/evaluations, led consulting practice with a team size of >15 and P&L responsibility.

§Appointed as Senior Project Manager to resolve low customer satisfaction levels; introduced changes to reporting lines by adding new supervisor roles and robust quality measuring standards; customer scores increased by 40%.

§Served as a subject matter expert in client proposals and contracts, ensuring commitments and expectations were well defined and managed.

§Analyzed RFT and created a database of multiple answers for each question, which could then be used to respond to any client requests; this enabled quick and improved responses with the win rate increasing 30%.

Managed development and implementation of a large Web Development, Data Integration Projects and data warehouse projects for use by multiple clients. Project managed digital web, email, and data analysis projects for Kraft KD website, FedEx, General Mills, Bell, and Rogers.

§Initiated efforts to implement a robust project management methodology to be used on all client engagements.

§Managed renegotiation of a tier 1 hosting solution, which included price, services, and service level agreements.

§Designed and created company’s new internal project opportunity and proposal process; these efforts ensured the company was able to more effectively manage all new opportunities.

§Implemented lifecycle model based on components from Six Sigma DMAIIC, Rational Unified Process, and dX (Xtreme programming) for investment management and private banking projects.

§Oversaw development, infrastructure upgrade, and proof of concept enterprise projects (15 in total, with cross-functional supervision of 12) based on identity management, BPM, Portal, J2EE, Unix, and leading-edge technologies.

§Collaborated with account managers and team members to agree on a suite to tools, templates, and processes to be used across the teams, which resulted in resource bench time being reduced by 27%.
