Civil Engineer having nearly 11 Years of Experience which includes 10 Years of Gulf Experience in the field of Material Engineering and Procurement of major Civil and Mechanical materials utilized in construction of Buildings, Infrastructure and Oil & Gas projects. Worked as Material Engineer in Sobha Constructions LLC for G+2P+28Floor residential apartment. Job Responsibilities

Identifying major project materials and subcontracting work packages for the project with available Drawings, BOQ and specifications.

Sending technical Enquiry for procurement of all Civil Materials and work order packages required for the projects and to co-ordinate with vendors till delivery of material at site.

Liaising with:

o Procurement department to issue purchase orders and work orders with in the budget. o Design Team / Engineering Consultancy to get technical specification, BOQ and Drawings. o Consultant / client for getting the material approvals / mockup approvals at the earliest and intending material requisitions / work order request which is then followed by placing of purchase orders / work orders..

o Vendors to whom purchase orders has been issued for further delivery of material or commencement of work at site.

Raising RFIs and TQ as and when required.

Review and evaluation of shop drawings received from subcontractors for all specialized work order packages and forward submission to consultants for necessary approvals.

Preparing and updating:

o Material Approval Tracker.

o Material Procurement Tracker in concern/discussion with project planning engineer. o Master List of Materials in concern/discussion with project planning engineer. o Project Material snag list.

To ensure vendors meet the schedule shipment date agreed on the purchase order.

Monitoring proper control over material wastage by maintaining/ obtaining material reconciliation reports from QS and cross checking the same with Company's standard norms of material wastage.

Past Experience:

Procurement Engineer from Sep 14 to Aug 19

Worked as Procurement Engineer in Supply Chain Management Unit of “Galfar Engineering & Contracting S.A.O.G”. Largest Construction Company in the county of Oman with turn over more than One Billion US Dollars, The Company currently employs 25,000+ people. Company has lot of projects in construction of Petrochemical Plants, Sewage water treatment, Cross country pipelines, Roads, Bridges and civil construction.

Job Responsibilities

In-charge for procurement of all major Civil and Mechanical materials like Ceramic/Porcelain Tiles, Interlock Tiles, Kerb Stones, Blocks, Ironmongery, Paints, Welding machines and consumables, Lifting tackles, Power & Precision Tools, PPE items, etc used in Galfar.

Verify the intents form projects with drawings and send enquiries to vendors.

Co-ordination with project team / Engineering Consultancy to get technical specification & BOQs.

Group of items consists of major civil project materials like Blocks, Interlock Tiles, Kerb Stones, Fine & Coarse Aggregates, Floor & Wall Tiles, Ironmongery, Paints, Self Adhesive and Torch applied waterproofing systems, Paint Systems, Lifting Tackles, precision tools like Total Stations etc. Also dealing with mechanical welding items like Tig welding machines, Electrode Ovens, Welding cables and other Welding consumables such as regulators, hoses etc…

Technical evaluation of offers received.

Effective Negotiations (With track of past histories, market data’s & break up details).

Release the order after comparing prices, technical compliance, price basis, delivery time, payment terms etc.

Verify the documents submitted by vendor (Post order documents) and get approval from Projects/client in Technical Bid Evaluation format.

Monitor progress of order and production progress reports form vendor.

Ensure the Inspection done, After receiving inspection report send the dispatch clearance to vendor

Ensure that suppliers meet the schedule shipment date agreed on the Purchase Order.

Coordinate with project, Design, Inspections and Freight Forwarders/Transporters.

Ensure the material received in the site and SRV’s created.

Past Experience:

Material Engineer from May 10 to Aug 14

Worked as Material Engineer in “Galfar Engineering & Contracting S.A.O.G” for Rustaq Water Distribution Network Project. Project included laying of DI and HDPE distribution lines from existing water tanks and construction of IV, ARV, WOV, FM chambers in five major villages at Rustaq. DI pipes were of 400mm, 500mm, 600mm and 700mm diameters and HDPE pipes were of 110mm, 180mm, 225mm, 315mm and 355mm diameters.

Job Responsibilities

Procurement of all Civil and Mechanical Materials required for the projects and to co-ordinate with vendors till delivery of material at site.

Giving day-to-day work progress of deputed zone to the Site Planning Engineer while monitoring other zones in co-ordination with the concerned engineer.

Liaising with:

o Design Team / Engineering Consultancy to get technical specification & BOQs. o Consultant / client for getting the material approvals at the earliest and intending material requisitions which is then followed by placing of purchase orders. o Vendors to whom purchase orders has been issued for further delivery of material at site.
