PROJECTS AND RESEARCH PAPERS:

• Power C Design Project August 2018 – April 2019

Description: The Power C Design is made up of hardware controlled by software, which is written in the language, Python. We utilized a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ as a microcontroller with an RGB Matrix Hat connected to 9 chained together, 32 x 32 LED matrices. This screen is initialized by way of a mobile application that allows the user to choose the style of the display that he/she wants. o Role:

o Played as a team lead and lead designer by assigning tasks and deadlines by identifying teammates’ skills and interest, scheduled two weekly meeting for discussing of progress, assisted teammates with complications and reprioritized tasks.

o Builded a modular programmable 15 * 15 LED screen panel with Nine panels of 32 * 32 square with 4mm of grid spacing.

o An app was designed and coded in software called ‘Python’ to control the LED project from user’s phone. 3

o Collaborated with a team by designing, planning, and solving by managing a strict timeline to deliver the working product on time.

o Reported Progress in weekly presentations and documented technology. o Used following Tools, Hardware, and Software in the development:

Solidworkd3D to develop prototype design.

LED Matrix Kits, Raspberry Pi 3 B+, RGB Matrix HAT, Single Slotted Aluminum Extrusions, 5V- 15A Power Supply, 10mm Screws, Slim and Oval T-nuts, L-Plates.

Software: Solidworks, AutoCAD, Python, MS Office

• DC Motor Characteristics and Parameters Identification Pro November 2018 Description: The Objective of this project was establishing a greater understanding of DC Motor characteristics and its parameters using real-time simulation in ControlDesk. By testing the motor to various Electrical and Mechanical test, the motor’s constants can be studied. o Role:

o Used MATLAB to code for achieve outcome results of AC and DC current. o Designed a full circuit AC and DC Circuit by using MATLAB Simulink. o Tools: Oscilloscope, ControlDesk Software, Cords to connect DC Motor to digital equipment. o Software: MATLAB and MATLAB Simulink, Microsoft Word

• LabVIEW Smart Home Project April 2018

Description: Design a smart home prototype system leveraging the use of light sensors to determine and predict the amount of energy consumption and cost of energy usage. o Role:

o Designed Prototype user interface to replicate a realistic house design in LabVIEW software. o Objective of this project is to create a VI in LabVIEW to model the energy consumption in a smart home o The VI will run in real-time and show plots of energy consumed per hour over the last 24-hour period. o The VI will allow the user to turn typical household appliances on or off during the day. o The VI should display kWh consumed and the cost

o Tools & Software: National Instrument LabVIEW, Microsoft Word

• Servomotor Control Project June 2018

Description: Design a Fuzzy control motor system and PID controller leveraging multiple membership functions to track the rotor position of the servo plant to improvise efficiency, quality while decreasing the maintenance cost.

o Role:

o Used MATLAB Simulink to design and troubleshooting fuzzy circuit controller o The controlling dynamics of the servomotor was designed in MATLAB Simulink with two inputs and 3 membership functions

o A Simulink model of the fuzzy inference system (FIS) design was created using the fuzzy logic controller block o A tuned PID controller was used to replace the fuzzy controller in a second model for comparison o Documented calculations, process of resolution, and circuit diagram design diagrams as part of final delivery o Tools & Software: MATLAB and MATLAB Simulink, Microsoft Word

• Pulse Width Modulator Project April 2018

Description: A Buck Converter (step-down converter) is a DC to DC power converter which steps down voltage

(while stepping up current) from its input (supply) to its output (load). It is a class of switched mode power supply

(SMPS) typically containing at least two semiconductors (a diode and a transistor, although modern buck converters frequency replaces the diode with a second transistor used for synchronous rectification) and at least one energy storage element, a capacitor, inductor, or the two in combination. Role:

o Designed a Buck Converter circuit in MATLAB Simulink and PSpice. o Designed our own PWM signal instead of using PWM Block to generate signal. o Tools & Software: MATLAB, MATLAB Simulink, Microsoft Word 4

• New Load Power System Project April 2018

Description: Modify given load circuit using Power World Software to increase the efficiency based on calculated total power loss, cost of construction. o Role:

o Modified, Simulated and Tested load circuit in Power World Software. o New load circuit was created in software called power world and discover the total power loss and the cost of construction.

o Finalized load circuit prototyped to save approximately. $5 million per year compared to given circuit o Documented calculations, process of resolution, and circuit diagram design diagrams as part of final delivery. o Tools & Software: Power World, Microsoft Word and Excel

• Voltage Regulator Project November 2017

Description: Design and Construct a voltage regulator circuit to handle input voltage drop while maintaining constant output range with an initiative of securing electronics during power surge. o Role:

o Designed, Simulated and Tested the Amplifier Bridge Circuit in Pspice. o Prototype was voltage regulator circuit was constructed and tested on Bread Board. o Constructed a voltage regulator Device on Bread Board and PCB Board that regulates the output voltage within the range of -5V to 5V, while the input range is between -15V to 15V. o Finalized approved designed was then soldered on PCB board o Documented calculations, process of resolution, and circuit diagram design diagrams design diagrams as part of final delivery.
