PROJECT:

“GSM based Fall Detection and Tracking System”

This proposed work mainly focuses on designing a system that aids in monitoring elderly people. Increased awareness of the occurrence of falls among the elderly and enrollment of efforts to prevent or diminish such events are highly needed in order to improve the quality of life for elderly people and provide them with convenient fall detection and prevention techniques. The project focuses on monitoring elderly. The system is designed to monitor elder people walking alone outside and it can identify their falling and change in heartbeat of the patient. This can be identified by using Heart beat Sensor. When an elderly falls the Gyroscope sense the direction of fall through change in axis value which is already programmed according to the gravity on the device. Hence the system will provide message through GSM and also specifies the location through GPS to the caregivers who are connected with the device. The Emergency Switch can also operated by the elderly. It will help in decreasing the time of rescue and avoid the impacts after fall. An alarm system is used inorder to inform the caregivers who are near to patients. The advantage of this device is that it is very cheap and reliable. This is portable and can be used for travelling in public places.
