Impact Sensor to Detect Concussion in Football Player – Undergrad Research

• Working under guidance of an OSU faculty, Dr. Robert Lee.

• Develop a lightweight, low cost impact sensor, embedded on player's body or clothing.

• Early detection of impact that can cause concussion in players.

• Detected data is then wirelessly transmitted to a remote gateway for coaches and technician's analysis.

• Applying newly emerging LoRaWAN (Low Power, Wide Area Network) technology.

• Making use of Bluetooth communications as well as Verizon LTE network.
