Cover Letter – Lawrence Craig Hill

CRSP, Licensed Paralegal, CHRL,

I am a highly motivated and results-oriented manager who successfully started and operated my own Human Resource Consultant Generalist practice specializing in Employment Law, more specifically in Health and Safety and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. I returned to College in 2009 attaining my Paralegal Diploma leading to a Paralegal Practice specializing in Employment Law Tribunals, WSIB/WSIAT Claims management and Small Claims Court. I have been practicing in WSIB/WSIAT issues since 1989 beginning with Goodyear Canada Inc. To maintain and expand my skill set, I attained my CHRL designation from the Human Resource Professional Association of Ontario in October of 2010. I returned to College in 2009 to complete my accelerated academic training attaining my Paralegal Diploma. I wrote my licensing exam with the Law Society of Upper Canada in September 2010 achieving my Paralegal License, furthering my ability to represent in and understand Employment Law specifically WSIB/WSIAT representation behalf of my clients. Further, as a Human Resource Specialist, to support my health & safety experience, I achieved my COR Auditor status through the IHSA in May of 2016. To maximize my academic credentials, I completed the Certificate of Achievement in Occupational Health and Safety at Sheridan College in December 2017. My OHSA Certificate of Achievement was the scholastic requirement to attain my CRSP – Canadian Registered Safety Professional. I wrote and passed my first exam attempt to attain my CRSP designation in October 2019.

I bring to your organization 30 years of progressively responsible Human Resource, Health & Safety Management experience maximizing profit and minimizing loss including the ability to represent before legal courts and tribunals. My expertise lies in a thorough knowledge of Human Resource employment law including Health & Safety, WSIB/WSIAT, Industrial Relations, Training and Management enhanced by my Paralegal license including developing proactive programs designed to drive and sustain revenues while minimizing loss, ensuring programs meet legislative and corporate compliance.

I have a true and proven track record in Human Resources, Health and Safety and Operations Management including WSIB/WSIAT, Training, MOL, OHSA, Team Building, Benefits and Labour Relations contributing directly to increased profits and decreased costs. I have experience in both Provincial - OHSA and Federal legislation – Canada Labour Code Part II (CLC II). Complimenting my “it can be done attitude” is my ability to identify areas of weakness and establish effective and profitable solutions. I lead by example, am people / results oriented and driven by same. I provide a formidable team decision attitude, problem solving and project management skill sets.

I am confident that my positive attitude, in-depth experience and drive will offer your organization assets to be relied upon.

Sincerely, Larry Hill
